Best rapper in a movie

Ok we have seen the thread about the worst performance by a hip hop artist in a movie, so who would be the best?

I'd say Mos Def in Monsters Ball and Ice Cube in Boyz N Tha Hood.

Ice Cube and Mos Def are easily the best actors/rappers, but I was impressed with Ludacris in "Crash".  He did a solid job in that movie.

I'm going to go with Ice Cube followed closely by 2Pac.  Pac probably would have beat him if he had been in more movies.  I think acting is a place where you have to show your range and Ice Cube has pretty much done every genre and really has done a good job in it.  Comedy - Friday Movies, Drama - 3 Kings, Action - XXX, Horror - Anaconda.  Etc.

LL Cool J is an alright actor but doesn't seem to try anything different.  Usually plays the same type of role in all his movies.  Also, anybody ever realize the dude never dies in a movie.  I mean I think he's the only one to survive a Halloween movie.

i think yall r being biased towards cube....he doesnt come close to mos def.....but if will smith counts then he;s the best....ll cool j is good too

^yea pac did a great job in juice and poetic justice. Ice cube was mad tight in boyz in da hood and will smith I feel he is one of the most natural talented rappers/actors. I will also add mos def to that list.

whoever said ice cube is an overrated actor is on something....he's done some crap like "are we there yet" but he can definately bring the drama.



as far as best rapper/actor goes.....i think i got to go with Pac. Mos Def overacts, ice cube you can catch him slippin, will smith gets close some times but comes off corny when he's emotional, but i dunno pac....it just looks real

Tray Deee was tight in "Tha Eastsidaz".
Dre wasn't so bad in "Training Day", he can act.
