R&B Star Assaulted In New York City

New York City-(AP) Singing sensation Ashanti Douglas is recovering from cuts to her face and bruised vocal cords at a local hospital after being kidnapped and attacked Thursday evening. Douglas, along with bodyguard Mike Thompson and record executive Irv Gotti, were leaving a Subway restaraunt in midtown Manhattan when three men reportedly grabbed the singer and ran. Witnesses say Gotti hidd behind a car while Thompson chased the men until they, along with Douglas, got into a Cadillac Escalade and sped off. Thompson threw his sandwiches at the vehicle, but the kidnappers quickly dashed down the street. "I tried to chase them down", replies Thompson."But I'm 6'4" 310lbs. And those little guys were quick as mice."

When asked about his decision to hide behind a car. Irv Gotti gave these comments: "I'm a f*ckin record exec, not Batman. That's what Mike Mike gets paid for. Those guys were wearing masks. And usually when someone has a mask on in the movies, they got a gun also. So I didn't take no chances."

According to Douglas, she was quickly blind folded and stripped naked. She pleaded the kidnappers she would do anything they wanted as long as her life was spared, but the men just laughed and ,in Douglas' words, said they would "rather f*ck dogs". She was then redressed in new clothes, photographed, punched in the throat and scratched in the face repeatedly. She was then coldly tossed into an alley near Times Square. When police found Douglas at approximately 12:25 am she was dressed in a Spider-Man costume, pink tutu, white leather boots, and a white sequence glove. Her picture was showing on the huge tv screen in Times Square with the caption "Now who on the big screen, b*tch?"

Investigators connected the Escalade with Albert Johnson, also known as rapper Prodigy of Mobb Deep. When questioned by interrogators, Johnson replied "It's my truck dun, but it got stolen a couple days ago. My sh*t be gettin stole like every other week." Johnson was also seemingly happy about the state of the 21 year old #1 album seller.
"That sh*t ain't got nothin to do with me yo. Everytime a b*tch get her feelings hurt New York Pricks and Dicks wanna blame a n*gga. The P is clean as Mop-N-Glo" Johnson said as he clipped his fingernails.

No arrests have yet been made, but the investigation of this strange occurance continues.
