I went to see Crash yesterday...

What a film...damn. It represents the Western world so well, it's not just L.A.. I think that everyone can recognize themselves a little bit in some of the racist comments that were made during the film.
I'm not easily emotionally moved by a movie scene, but I have to say...the scene where the daughter of the locksmith jumps in front of the bullet really had me sitting there kind of speechless. I didn't start crying, but the way the scene was filmed was just so intense, it had me (and the other people at the theatre) at the tip of their seats of amazement.

Seriously, this has to be one of the better movies to have come out over the past few years. I know it's a bit too early to say that, but still...it's just good, period!

The fucked up thing about it is that it isn't being promoted much here in Belgium (and I think other European countries too). Out of the 200 seats in the room, there were only 18 seats occupied. Meanwhile, other movies had basically sold-out rooms. Pffffffff..seems like the majority of people just go to see a movie from which they see adds on TV or on advertising boards. They basically swallow what the media gives them in my opinion.

Ah well, so far the criticism on society...just wanted to say: two thumbs up for Crash!

itīs not heavily promoted coz itīs a independent movie so they donīt have a huge budget. but itīs a great movie and Terrence Howard is one of the best actors that has came along in a long time.
