he just won the battle of the beats on 98.9 for the 5th time in a row. it was a blowout tonight, 100% of the votes (petey pablo lost). this is major for san diego, and the west coast period...

can you give more info? battle of beats? so they had a few artists make a beat and submit it? who was the judge? where can we hear the beats? etc

^ naw they dont make the beats. i dont really know how it works cuz i dont listen to the radio. but i guess they put up 2 popular songs and let people call in & vote for which song is the best

neva been a huge I-Rocc fan. I got homies that used to chill wit his ass. Most tha shit ive heard of his that i was feelin...was a collab with someone else tho. Him and Luni put out that How The West Was Won album that was heat. And he had some tracks with Smigg and Mitch that were tight. This battle of the beats shit is major for him tho. Im like BabyG...i dont fuck with tha radio down here in SD. But its big for a local rapper (other then sorry ass lil rob) to win some battles like those over some big names. most people listenin to the radio out here are 14 year old white girls...so you can imagine tha kind of bullshit they play on the radio. Local artists struggle when it comes to that shit.
