The D.O.C Reunites With Dr. Dre To Work On DETOX !

The D.O.C. (born Tracy Curry) helped to create the California rap game in the late 1980s, collaborating with the gangsta rap collective N.W.A. and later its separate entities: Eazy-E, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. With three albums under his belt, the D.O.C. currently is writing rhymes for Dre's eagerly anticipated album, "Detox."

This is what I would term... uh.... "Optimistic Bullshit". 

Here's how shit like this happens.

The D.O.C. works on dre's albums, calls and talks to dre every once in a blue moon, and hears through the grapevine that Dre's next album is gonna be called "Detox"... next time he talks to Dre, he mentions it, Dre says something about "Yeah, I'll call you when we get into it".

So D.O.C., optimistically, goes around telling everybody "Yeah, I'm workin' on Dre's album"... Hey Doc, what are you doing these days? "I'm working on Dr. Dre's new album, DETOX".

In reality he hasn't done shit, but probably will before it's over.

^^ The DOC has helped out on both "The Chronic" and "2001" and look how successfull they have been.. why wouldnt dre not want to re-create this formula.

I never said he wasn't going to help him.  I never said Dre wouldn't ask him to help him.  I never said I didn't like the D.O.C.... I never said he wasn't on Dre's other two albums, and I never said he won't be on this one.  I was just explaining why THIS DOESN'T MEAN SHIT.  All this means is that the D.O.C. told Usaweekly or whatever that he was working on Dre's new album, but we all know that just because somebody SAYS they're going to do something, doesn't always even meen that it's been discussed.

Nice idea.. apart from you're being too cynical and are promoting misinformation...

Dre went on MTV Raps and said he was doing H.S. with cube... Dan posted up the footage on the forum a while back!


of course there is an element of truth to your cynicism.. like Ben Baller has been claiming hittman has been working on Detox for the last 5 years.. LOL!

Maybe there's a point in what Trauma's saying, but it does seem likely that D.O.C.'s helping Dre out again in a major way for Detox. This sure is news though, because I don't think they've done much together in the past five years or so. Great to hear they're likely to be teaming up for Detox...  8)
