We brought you the radio version of Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg & Nate Dogg's new Battlecat-produced banger "Real Soon". which Julio G premiered last week. I have the pleasure of letting you check out the high quality version of the song now, which is the first single from the upcoming "Welcome 2 Tha Chuuuch - Tha Album" dropping on Koch Records early next year.

The song is a dedication to their homies locked down, a real positive track. Battlecat brought it as always, and Nate Dogg is in top form aswell:

I think the track is alright, and a little above average. Battlecat's beat is typically funky and laid-back, and that's a big plus. Daz and Kurupt's parts on the song seem a little small compared to Snoop and Nate's, but then again I guess that's to be expected since the latter are the commercial heavyweights of DPGC. However, no-one's verses really stood out to me, and Kurupt sounded a little TOO laid-back, even on this kind of beat. The saving grace for me was probably Nate's catchy chorus, and verse. Snoop's part of the hook, however, sounded a bit out of place.

To be completely honest, I don't see this blowing up as a single. Yes, it's got an 'all-star' line-up, but 213 have proven that even a group of such a high calibre can falter. Also, the theme of the song isn't exactly radio friendly as it's not the kind of thing that I imagine the mainstream audience can relate to. I think it would work great as a stand-alone album cut, but as a single - well, I'd probably look for something else.

Just my opinion, mind you...
