Best New Talent
« on: April 14, 2002, 07:44:10 PM »
There's many new youngsters out there, I picked a few, who yall think is the best? Choose only ONE, and there's a reason that Crooked I isn't among them.

Roscoe
Royce 5'9
Pharoahe Monch   (Not exactly new, but very promising)
Sixx John
Eastwood
Bad Azz   (Been around, but haven't got a break-through)

Choose only ONE
[shadow=red,left,300]And state a short reason.[/shadow]

"Hi, my name is Royce, I'm the King!"

Royce without a doubt. Been holding it down for a while, finally getting some airplay! You know there's something good about him Em has to step up incase he gets outshined. Just listen to his lyrics, he has a few wack cuts like any rapper, also has a few dope ones.

wack: rock city, the one
dope: boom, nickle nine, renegades original

"Freeway"

Yo he ain't the tightest Mc out, but he's out there & has been ready to blow up for a minute now.
He's on almost every mix tape out (East Coast...I got homies over the net....who keep me up to date...lol)

I think homies the next thing to blow coming outta the ROC.
Love em' or hate em'...That joint with Beenie is a head nodder for sho'.

My pick for future star and someone to watch:

"Freeway"

Peace

I would have to say Royce. I been getting into him lately and i think his dope. He comes off really tight on Renegades OG real lyrical heat. I think he has got dope lyrics from what ive heard of him so far. I agree that rock city is wack  but how can u say his wack with lyrics like this:
''I'm the verbal-spit Smith Wesson
I unload with sick spit the quick wick could split a split-second
Bomb with a lit wick expression
You here a tick tick then you testin..'' - Boom

Royce. Basicallly out of all the ones listed he's the one that has impressed me the most. "Boom" is a perfect example of what he can bring to the table.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
