Opinions on "The Red Light District"?
« on: November 08, 2005, 10:21:19 PM »
I see a lot of mixed feelings about this album, so I wanted to get some opinions on here...

"Red Light District" is my favorite album from Ludacris, he had a good mix of songs. Creative tracks (Blueberry Yum Yum), comercial tracks (Pimpin All Over the World), laid back tracks (Spur of the Moment), grimey tracks (Intro) and my favorite track "Child of the Night".

its funny because i didnt even give this album a chance after i bought chicken and beer when it came out and it sucked big floppy donkey dick.  but one of my friends would always bump it when we rode around and blazed.  and i really started to like it.  spur of the moment easily became my favorite track on the cd and i even picked it up for myself.  its just a chill disc and i love what luda has to say.  knick knack paddy whack, still ridin cadi-lacs, family off the streets, made my homies put the bagies back... his shit is just right and i respect him even more because he graduated college.

I liked chicken n beer, and not just because of the infamous "black man struggle skit"
Luda comes off crazy on all his albums lyrically.
I didn't get to hear all of "the red light district" but from what I heard it was pretty good.

Really? I didn't know that...that's indeed something to respect, especially because it's so rare amongst rappers. And Luda isn't afraid to put some humor into his rhymes. It doesn't always have to be "I'm the toughtest mothafucka of them all"-bullshit.

I like Red Light District a bit better than Chicken-N-Beer, although I really liked that one as well. I bump them both regularly actually. Definitely worth the money!
Btw, has anyone bought Luda's DVD "The Red Light District"? What's on it?

Ludas first 3 albums are just as good as each other... i wasn't really feeling Th Red Light District too much but the beats made that album hot
