Right now I don't think the Lakers can even spell defense, furthermore play it.

On a side note, Nick Young is gunna be nice.
Yeah, he was hitting a lot of shots, and he was making a lot of smart plays and looks like a leader. Good win for the Lakers getting it together after Washington forced OT. As for the homer announcers thing, for some reason I watched the Wizards' broadcast, and when they were complaining about Fisher traveling before he hit a late long 2-point jumper, the announcer wouldn't admit that he was wrong and there was no travel.
I got a bird's eye view

^At least they're not as bad as Tommy Heinson...I was watching the Celtic broadcast the other day, and every one of his homer comments topped the other. It was unbelievable. At one point, he was calling for one of the refs to be fired. LOL!

You would have never have heard Chick Hearn say some shit like that, even if it was warranted.

Decision on Ira Newble must be made

The Lakers will decide today whether to sign forward  Ira Newble to another 10-day contract.

The defense-minded forward had not played any games for the Lakers, although "he was the star of our practice [Saturday]," Jackson said.

"Of course, he's got the most energy. He and Coby Karl haven't played a lot the last [six] games. He's starting to feel his way through this and starting to feel comfortable."

Newble would be eligible for playoffs if the Lakers decided to sign him for the rest of the season after his second 10-day contract expired.

^Done deal.

Newble signed for remainder of season

Defense-minded forward Ira Newble was signed for the rest of the season for about $110,000. Newble, 33, who has two points in four minutes of game action with the Lakers, is eligible for the playoffs. The Lakers picked Newble up after Seattle waived him in February.
