I haven't heard Raekwon's "Built 4 Cuban Linx" although I've heard of it... so I can't vote here... but I find it hard to imagine how any album except the absolute hip-hop classics would be better than "Reasonable Doubt"... peace

..:VS:..

Whoa!!!
That's as close a batttle as The "Illmatic" "36 chamber's" battle.

But this one for me is a matter of choice, I'll have to go with Jigga on this due mainly to my prefference.
"Cuban Linx" has one of the tightest duets with rapper's I have ever heard "Verbal intercorse" feat: Nas  :o
But "reasonable doubt had two of the best ever..."Brooklyn's finest" & Ain't no ......

Both lp's are far and above most music lp's, But I'll have to go with Jay-Z on this one.
Cause when this album dropped I was right there waiting for it first hand. When the Dead presidents single came out....yo I was knocking that shit like crazy.

In the end tho they both helped contribute to all this Bling bling Mafioso type shitt....lol
(I don't know if that was a good thing or not)

But the "Cuban Linx" cd was just as tight dannm!!
Fuck it...........either a tie or Just cast my vote for Jigga.

Peace

Cuban Linx IS an absolute hip hop classic....
Any of JayZ's songs means less to me than the worst song off Cuban Linx... Jay Z cant even come close to WuTang if you ask me

Cuban Linx SHITS all over Reasonable Doubt. Reasonable Doubt is a classic, but its only a "second rate" classic. Cuban Linx is one of the top 10 hip hop album ever created. Also, if it werent for Cuban Linx, there would be no Reasonable Doubt. Where do you think Jay go all of his ideas for Reasonable Doubt from?? From Cuban Linx.

The Illmatic vs. 36 Chambers is a much closer comparison than Cuban Linx vs. Reasonable Doubt. Reasonable Doubt isnt even in the same ball park as Illmatic, Cuban Linx, or 36 Chambers.

But then again, you are a well known Jigga-hater.
No offense.

Im a Jigga hater?? I guess thats why I own not one, not two, but THREE Jay Z albums, right?? I consider Reasonable Doubt to be a classic, and the Blueprint and Vol.1 are both solid albums. But Jigga LOVER or HATER, Reasonable Doubt doesnt touch Cuban Linx. Thats just common sense right there.....
