On September 25, 2005, in a startling speech at the University of Toronto that caught the attention of mainstream newspapers and magazines, Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defence Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head."
Hellyer warned, "The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning. He stated, "The Bush administration has finally agreed to let the military build a forward base on the moon, which will put them in a better position to keep track of the goings and comings of the visitors from space, and to shoot at them, if they so decide."
Hellyer’s speech ended with a standing ovation. He said, "The time has come to lift the veil of secrecy, and let the truth emerge, so there can be a real and informed debate, about one of the most important problems facing our planet today."
The guy is a Liberal Party of Canada member. I'm going to use this during campaigning to prove how insane their members are.

Come on. Seriously, I don't think you even warrant a response.
Quote from: Lincoln The Reform-A-Tory on November 25, 2005, 10:54:41 PMCome on. Seriously, I don't think you even warrant a response.you're pretentious attitude amuses me. you've provided no reason to justify why this doesn't make sense. what doesn't make sense? the aliens? or the idea that the u.s. wants to fight them?a former deputy prime minister and minister of defence claims first hand knowledge of aliens and their dealings with humans. some guy on the net dismisses this with no substance whatsoever. you may as well wear a clown nose and wig to think you need not justify your claims against those of credible individuals.
You mean to tell me you believe someone that works for the government? Claiming to have first hand knowledge doesn't put the proof on the table. Where is the guy's documentation? While I wholeheartedly believe we are not alone in the universe, there is nothing to make me believe that aliens have visited earth and have made contact with humans.

iraq would just get annexed by iran
You know absolutely zero about Canada. This guy was minister of defence of a country with almost no military, and deputy Prime Minister under a PM who set the wheels in motion for an entire country to divide and eventually seperate into fragments. I know who he is, what he stands for, you don't. That's why I know he has no credibility.
