An associate of Marion "Suge" Knight was shot at a Compton, CA Shell gas station yesterday. Alton McDonald, 37, was pumping gas when a dark pickup drove up and started shooting. McDonald was hit in the upper body and died Vegas with Suge Knight when Tupac Shakur was shot and killed in 1996. Surveillance camera's captured him participating in the infamous scuffle in a hotel lobby, which many theorize led to Tupac Shakur's death.

McDonald was allegedly driving a car that was registered to the current head of Tha Row security and according to sources, McDonald was a major figure in Suge Knight's organization, although it is not known whether he was employed by Tha Row. Knight paid his respects to McDonald at the hospital and according to the Los Angeles Times, also paid his respects to McDonald's family at their Compton home.
