Question for Football fans...
« on: November 29, 2005, 02:09:39 AM »
I was just thinkin about this, and curious what yall thought. Im a huge Raider fan...and i want them to win every game. But, they are at 4-7 now....with virtually no shot at the playoffs...seeing how the AFC is, and with a division record of 0-4 already. If your favorite team was in a position where they couldnt make the playoffs...would you still want them to keep winning, hoping for a 6-10 or 7-9 record...or would you hope they lost more games, putting them in position to get franchise changing player? The Colts got Manning by being bad...Atlanta got Vick by being bad...Chargers got LT by being bad...etc. I cant make myself ever hope for a loss on Sundays...but shit, gettin the 10th pick in the draft isnt quite as nice as the 1st lol

well right now I want the Raptors to finished dead last so they would get a chance at the #1 pick next year.

Being last dosen't garuntee first pick in the NBA draft.

At times it's really tempting to feel that way, and sometimes I do. :-[

well, i feel ya. but you're 4-7 atm..so i doubt you'll get the #1 pick with teams like

Houston, Jets, San Fran and my Team (Green Bay Packers lol)...you guys just can hope to keep winning.

yeah, im not sayin i want them to lose anyways...but a 4-12 record would put us in a better position in the draft then 7-9 or 8-8 would, obviously. We wouldnt get Bush....but maybe pick up Leinart. Problem is, at least 3 out of those 4 teams you mentioned need a QB lol.

Well "my" team, the Vikings (it's a love/hate relationship), are fighting for a playoff spot. I'd like them to get a decent draft pick instead of trying to get in the playoffs and just lose in the first round, but they are going to keep trying to win because Tice's job is on the line. Honestly though, it's hard to choose between the two because the Vikes never utilize their great draft picks when they get them anyways. It's always the same old story.
