What happened to R-Tistic's CD, R-Ticulation?
« on: November 29, 2005, 11:23:41 AM »

I was not able to finish the album when I was at home in August, because I was only in LA for 3 weeks and I had to leave and come back to Florida for the school semester. I will be back in L.A. somewhere bewteen December 14th and the 16th, and I'll be there until January 7th or 8th. With that...I am DEFINITELY going to try to finish the album, because I wanted it to be out a long time ago. I don't want to label it as just a mixtape, because it is going to be all complete and original songs, and no remixes. The confirmed guest list right now is what is on the flyer, but I am sure that there will be more artists than these when it's finished, and hopefully some established ones. I will have to hit y'all with another preview in a few weeks.

I have been workin on new beats, so this album's production will be better as a result of that. I can assure you that the production on this album will be much better than average for most unestablished producers, and it will even give many commercial releases a run for their money. I am still not sure how I want to market and promote it, how I will package it, and how much I will sell it for. As always, if anybody just wants to hear the tracks I have so far and the beats I have that I may or may not use, just send me a message and leave your #. I can't put any previews on the internet in any way right now.

Damn man... That shit looks good, and yeah, I've been wondering about what happened to this. And I know you've been down with the Black Wall Street for a while, but you managed to get Game to spit exclusive stuff for you? Damn. I mean... How! That guy is worth millions these days!

It won't be anything exclusive, I am using Therapy Sessions on the album so that is it. Outside of these rap boards, and especially outside of LA, there are still a lotta people who never heard it. Hopefully I will get somethin new from G. Malone and especially from Kam before it drops though.

All the best, I can only comment on Therapy Sessions, and I really felt that, so good luck.

If possible I would suggest you did something on the flyer to make the artists names more visible..maybe someone can help you out?

this is really great to see, as always kick some ass for us.  how do you plan on distributing the album?  are you gonna try to sell it or is it gonna be like a getting your name out thing?  if its getting your name out, we should try to get everybody that knows bootleggers to start distributing the shit and put it up on torrents and submit it to every major bittorrent website, etc.

I look forward to hearing it. Therapy Sessions was tight.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

It's a track called "We can" that nobody at all has heard yet other than O. Beast, who is the other rapper on it. It doesn't sound like a typical Murs track, because the vibe is somewhat R&B, but it is still a nice track. By the way, I talked to his brother this weekend, and they went to 9th Wonder's house for Thanksgiving. He said they have finished part two of Murs 3:16, "Murray's revenge", and it will be out sometime next year. He said it sounds hot as expected.

That's really not a bad idea....thing is, I am much more concerned about gettin my name out versus getting money. From how I see it right now, I think there are many people who would want to buy the album to support the cause, and because of the fact that it is packaged and may possibly become a collector's item or somethin of the sort. But for the people who would probably not buy it in the first place, I would still like them to hear it, and just them seein the name and product will stay in their memory. At one time, I wanted to make the album a completely free download on my website, and I would try to make a little bit of money just from advertisements. If I do package it, I would probably not make much profit since I don't want to sell it for too much, and because I don't want to have a low quality packaging.
