Dre's most famous beat?
« on: December 09, 2005, 07:52:02 PM »
He's had many. What would ya'll consider to be his most famous beat of all-time? One that damn near everyone has heard and that had the most crossover appeal?

I'm going with "In Da Club"

In the interview that Dre did with Scratch Magazine, he was asked a question along the lines of, "How do you know when you have a "Billie Jean" type record?".

I figured since many consider Dre to be the Quincy Jones of rap, "In Da Club" is to Dre what "Billie Jean" was to Quincy Jones in terms of biggest hit records.

Nothing But A G Thang beat might be a famous one but i dont even consider it his good beat cause its just a damn sample with drums that he added + a synth

still d.r.e. and in da club are very big hits
however in da club is pretty simple

still d.r.e in terms of complexity
