He sounded raw and gangsta back then, now he trys to sound commercial, and funky like snoops shit and it doesnt suit him. Tracks like Ambitionz As A Ridah, and In Califnornia are classics. Daz hasnt released a classic beat or track since he left Deathrow.

Deathrow was his best era. He should have never left Tha Row.

man you done heard the war stories before and it's still on......

yep yep, but RAW was also tight... and its post-DR

but his newer beats suck, like 90% of em... and i really think that i produce better beats then him.. its a shame - hrhrhr, but on the other hand: nowadays it isnt hard to achieve that goal..

Daz's old shit>Daz's new shit.
That's not to say his new stuff is bad, but it's nothing compared to the death row dayz.

aftre that daz didnt really put out any thing that impressed me
daz and dre is a killer combo
daz and mike dean is even a more killer combo
daz nowadays no where to be found close to that prod style
i liked dpgc muzik and hitting donuts in the streets though

Being on Tha Row has nothing to do with it...the matter is that this ain't 1996 anymore.  G-Funk has played itself out, at least in its 1990s' incarnation.  Daz, like Dre, Quik, Hutch and most other West Coast producers, simply changed with the times, and I don't fault him for that.  To be honest, I actually like most of his newer stuff - before, I could never think of his beats as clones of Dre's (except with less sonic detail); most of the stuff I hear on his solo albums wows me.

I think its hilarious how Daz says Dre stole his beats in the Death Row days.  Dre hasn't worked with Daz in like 9 years, and outside of Cali, NOBODY is checkin for him.  Of course his Death Row resume is 100x that of his post death row resume.

HES the artist that is improved over time in my opinion.
All my favorite beats hes done exept a couple were after deathrow like:  coastin, at night, passion, i got luv, boyz n the hood, blaze up, my mama told..,nothin can stop us, hittin donutz, say it, a dog pound gangta, etc
