NAS+AVANT:The album

With the mediocre success of the Jay-Z/R. Kelly collaboration album, Best of Both Worlds, two more artists are planning to take a shot at the idea. MCA and Columbia Records have announced that Nas and Avant will collaborate on an album, currently titled The Illest From Two Planets.

"Ya know, it was just something bound to happen," said Nas in a statement. "We feel each other's music so we thought it'd be dope to bring our sounds together one album. I'm the illest from my area, Avant is the illest from his area, so that's we call it The Illest Two Planets."

Production on the album will be handled by DJ Premier, Timbaland, Large Professor, RZA, Rodney Jerkins among others. The first single, "Come Home With Me", finally reunites Nas with producer Pete Rock who he hasn't worked with since Illmatic.
