Post Questions For Master P! (westcoast related)
« on: December 14, 2005, 04:38:51 PM »
Before any of you jump on me for posting this here... As you know, Master P had his start in the Bay Area, and to this day has had alot to do with the westcoast. I'm gonna make sure to have him speak on his situation with E-A Ski etc, but go head and post questions!

(1.) How do you respond to the claims that your label manufactured albums on an assembly line?

(2.) Where did you first come up with the idea to utter "ughhhhhhh" like you're constipated?

(3.) What (if any) differences exist between your albums, Silkk's album, C-Murder's album, and other No Limit albums in general? (this question is rhetorical)

(4.) Would you be willing to refund my little brother who got coned into buying 10 No Limit albums because of your slick marketing?

Is it true that you recently signed Cognito?

Which No Limit album do you like the most?

When can we expect an album from Dino West or Afficial?

Details on your next album?

What are your thoughts on C-Murder getting transferred to a different prison?

with the strong independent hustle in the bay area, is that where you picked up on your business skills to go down south to develop the new no limit.

ask him about katrina, did he do antyhing to contribute to the efforts? did he sustain any damages to property, etc..

updates on C-murder?

Are you still cool with Mystikal?

What is Mia X and Mercedes up to these days?

why don't you have KLC do any of your beats anymore? him and X-Fylez would be great in house producers for you.

will you ever work with any major mainstream artist again? or focus on finding new talent and try to make No Limit as strong as it was back in the day

1) Would you be willing to work with kurupt?

2) Will you help with the promotions for the west coast artists?

3) What are you going to do within next 5 to 10 years?

4) Will you retire anytime soon?

5) What do you think about Tookie williams?

6) Why did you make Romeo become a rapper?  Shouldn't you put him in school so that he can get a decent job?

7)  Will Romeo out-do Bow Wow in record sells?

is it any coincidence that No Limit peaked when Snoop joined, and fell off when he left?

Actually, No Limit did kinda peak before that when P put out "Make Em Say Ugh", but Snoop joining No Limit loaned them street cred, so it's possible that they might have actually fallen off sooner if he hadn't been on.

1)  P has recently brought back Krazy and T-Bo, but what about artists from No  Limit's glory days (Beats by the Pound, Fiend, Kane & Abel, etc).

2) Dino West and Ruga represent No Limit on the West Coast, but will you open up any sort of official No Limit West imprint and sign more west coast artists?

3)  There's been three volumes already, but is there any plans for another West Coast Bad Boyz record coming out and if so, who would be on it?

4) P's talked about working with legend Dr. Dre for a long time but nothing ever came about with him and Dre, why not?  Did Dre not want to do a beat for P?  Or did P not want to shell out the money?

5) P worked with Ice Cube before he worked with Snoop, has there been any plans on working with Cube again?

6) Snoop and P sort of need each other.  The success of No Limit dwindled pretty quick by the time 2001 came, ironically the same year that Snoop left...  Snoop's music, meanwhile, has went down the drain ever since he left No Limit.   Any chance of a Master P/Snoop Dogg reunion?

7) So many artists can go gold or platinum just by putting out enough money for promotion... why hasn't P done this yet.  If promoted right, anybody can sell big records, but P doesn't seem to want to gain his respect back and dish out whatever's needed to do that

8) Has Silkk left No Limit?  Rumors are floating he's searching for a major right now and was unhappy about his promotion and sales with No Limit/Koch.

9) Why has P had Afficial for over 5 years and never put them out... is it true that Afficial left No Limit?

10) Master P has Dino West, Ruga, and Cognito under his Guttar Music imprint... will P sign any notable veterans to his roster to help them out?  Will P go after a big name free agent if he fits into No Limit's mold.  So many labels survive by making big aquisitions, but P doesn't do this.

11) Ever since the "NEW" No Limit came about, it seems P only puts out records by his family... himself, Romeo, and Silkk... and records such as the last TRU or 504 Boyz are all heavily featured with Master P... why not take a chance on a young group like Afficial.  If they don't succeed, so what... if they do, smart move.

12) Finally, what the hell is up with "No Limit"... P opens up his own independent distribution company, Guttar Music, and seemingly No Limit disappears.  Has P ended the No Limit brand for good?

There you have it...

Shit, if you're a no limit fan you know there's plenty to ask this guy.

If you're not, don't trip.

P started in the west... made west coast records early in his career... and even after he moved back south, he still constantly repped richmond, california on all his records... created three different west coast bad boyz compilations, the most recent in '02 and has just signed three dudes out of the west.  P's been repping the west more than certain guys who've been in the west permanently.

As far as Katrina goes... you could check that out... but he donated over $10 million worth of cash and supplies and started team rescue foundation... the new 504 Boyz record, 100% of proceeds go to Katrina relief and 10% of new Rich Boyz and MP records go to it as well.

He probably donated more than anyone else involved, but doesn't get the recognition for it because he's no longer a mainstream figure
