Long Beach's Iriz Is Ready For "The Moment" - December 22, 2005 By : Rud

Long Beach has been the breeding ground of established hiphop for well over two decades now, 2006 will be no different. Iriz is the talented-seasoned rapper hailing from North Long Beach. With an already packed resume he has worked with Warren G, Bo-Rocc (Dove Shack), Techniec, E-White and often teams up with hometown partner Marc Spitz. Born in 1982 as the second born in a two-parent household, his father was a minister and his Mother took care of the house. His older brother, Co-T, born 3 years earlier, began producing at 15, while Iriz was only 12. They hooked up with Marc Spitz (formerly known as Perfec’) and joined the group Dynamic Certified.

Within the group environment they mastered the craft of production and rhyming and eventually went on to form they’re own crew called, The Skeemadee Gang. Co-T, Iriz, and Marc Spitz were soon fortunate enough to work with Platinum producer and recording artist Warren G. Through that situation, Co-T produced "Do you Wanna Ride?" the first single for G-Funk Records RnB group, Reel Tight and Iriz received his first record deal, at the age of 15. With much to learn about the music industry and come-and-go opportunities, Co-T and Iriz moved on to become independent artists.

With an easy to listen to and understandable delivery combined with an aggresive flow Iriz is in some ways reminiscent of Kurupt im '95. This is showcased on his latest project, a team effort with Co-T, the LP entitled, "The Moment." On the album you can heard Iriz exercising lyrical versatility over various banging Co-T beats. He has plans in the works to record with "New West" artists as well as more mixtapes.

We have been granted the opportunity to let you download 4 tracks off "The Moment" album, those are available below, i advise you check them out as these are varied yet consistently quality material. Please then visit the forum to leave your thoughts. If you want to learn more about Iriz please visit his MySpace page. Look for more news and audio from Iriz in the near future.
