50 the true Window Shopper
Imagine where 50 would be had it not been for "In Da Club". Without that joint lighting his career up, I don't think he would be where he is today.
50 can diss anyone he wants to. But he knows that he's never gonna be considered one of the greats like Nas, Jay, Pac, and Biggie. And i think that alone fucks with his head. He's amounted to nothing more than a gimmick, and people are starting to catch on.
Skill-wise, after Biggie passed away, I think it's safe to label Nas as King of NY. As far as commerical success goes, obviously Jay-Z has that in the bag. 50's doing his thing and he's made millions, but even he realizes he doesn't get much love in New York. To be the King of NY, the city has to love you more than they dislike you, not the other way around. Between Yayo's flop and the Soundtrack not doing too good in sales, G-Unit's falling off big time. Olivia's album flopped so much, they haven't even released it Twist It generated no buzz and neither has "So Sexy", video and all.
Biggie had beef with Wu Tang?
