George makes $5 million this season, which means the Lakers would also have to trade Lamar Odom to make the report accurate, an unlikely scenario, a team source said.

Like I said, the deal isn't happening without Odom...So fuck that shit, work with what you have this season...Lakers can win with what they have, they've already proven they can play...2007 isn't far away, and that's assurance of a contending team (if our current team  doesn't step up in the playoffs THIS year)...Just have patience and the Lakers will be on top of the world again soon enough.

After i've seen Heat-Lakers i've changed my mind about Odom and a Odom-Artest trade straight-up. I'd continue with Odom if he has to be involved. But damn, Artest and Rose for George and Slava means we could have easily a contender team this year. If it's somehow possible, let's make it happen.

don't believe that Pacers don't get anything out of that deal

Once again, they're probably gunna get someone a lot less talented than Ron Artest...I actually think Devean George has a similar style to Artest, just a lot less aggressive. He'd fit in a Pacers uniform really well, in my opinion. Walsh should really consider it, especially since no one great is being offered for Artest...

PG Jamaal Tinsley...Sarunas Jasikevicius/Eddie Gill
SG Stephen Jackson...Fred Jones/Anthony Johnson
SF Devean George...Danny Granger/Jonathan Bender
PF Jermaine O'Neal...Slava Medvedenko/Samaki Walker
C Jeff Foster...Scot Pollard/David Harrison

IMO, this could work out very well for the Pacers...Devean George could split minutes with Danny Granger (their current project) at the 3 spot...I mean, George is no Artest, but he's an awesome roll-player and this will give Danny Granger more minutes and a better chance to develop into a star caliber player quickly...With that being said, I highly doubt this will be the move Walsh goes for...I think he's trying to get a Sczerbiak or an Odom to fill in the void, which doesn't seem likely...Whatever though, we'll see what goes down.
