I cant believe I was the only one that voted for Broken Water.  Easily without a doubt the best of the year.

what a wack ass list
lol, that's just how the people voted... Blame the people, not the list ;)

No, you rated Get Rich Or Die Tryin' this year's #1 album :P

I cant believe I was the only one that voted for Broken Water. Easily without a doubt the best of the year.
And that wasn't enough to make it past Eminem's greatest hits cd :o
I guess it's just heavily slept on. I believe I heard that album like once and at the time it didn't impress me enough to ever bother listening to it again. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad album; I just haven't thought of giving it another chance yet. Same might be the case for others; I'm sure more people have heard it.

Who voted for The Massacre?
That's pretty easily looked up in the voting thread... However, ordered by appreciation in descending order, the ones you are to blame are
mac10, Detox is coming..., macnlatin36, Lil White Azz and Knuckles.
Go spread some hate!  ;D

Some random facts about the list:

A total of 30 people got their votes in
86 different valid albums were mentioned; 3 were invalid
The Game easily took this poll; he got a total of 400 points while numer two Common got 293 points.
Only 5 out of 30 voters did NOT mention The Game's The Documentary as one of their favorites.
Kanye West was mentioned 21 out of 30 times, DJ Quik also 21 times, Common 19 times and Little Brother was mentioned 14 times out of 30. However, Common was shown more love by those who voted for him: 4 people voted for Be as the #1 album of the year, 3 people thought it was the second best.
There is a major gap between the top 5 and the #6, GZA's Grandmasters album.
Number 26 is Slum Village with their self titled album. People complained about the album being slept on, and so it remains being slept on :P

Just by having Broken Water and the Minstrel Show come out in the same year automatically makes 2005 a good year

I don't see how this was a wack year when we had great albums from Game, Kanye, Common, J. Wells, J-Steez, Little Brother, Warren G, Mack 10, DJ Quik, R. Kelly and Lil Wayne.

Maybe I expect way too much from Hip-Hop. Though 4 sure we had some good albums but nothing mind blowing . These albums are great for today standards (in a such weak rap game) and it's the pb

FYI: Detox won't be mind blowing either.
