is there ever gonna be another aftermath comp?
« on: March 21, 2002, 08:18:54 AM »
comp mean compilation but i cudnt fit it in.

just think how tite it'd be, dre rakim eminem truth hitt shaunta some new cats and like ppl who be down with them like snoop and dj quick and co, i think something like would be tight. all major labels n shit should do it cuz it would sell well.

just like puffy did with his bad boy compilation i think some of west coasts biggest labels should do it 2.

what ya think? and what other label comilations would you .like to see?

Yeah homie I feel ya...
I beleive the wash was going to be an Aftermath comp...but they got madd rushed to drop it..so it is what it is.

But another comp (with time alloted) would be off the chain.
except this time I hope Dre sticks with the people he decides to shine on it (If it was to happen)
He hadd alot of peep's on his Aftermath....presents cd.
and hardley any one of em' is heard from now.

The Aftermath presets vol...2
yo that has a good ring to hitt..
someone hit Dre up...Yo Mellow..lol

good post homie..

That would be tight, but it would be a stupide move for Dre right now.  He should get Truth, Em, Rakim and himself out of the way first and then drop a compilation once he gets some more talent, and drop it in a year or two.  Then heads could get a feel for who is on The Math.

id love to see a eminem n hittman song and a rakim n snoop song on a compilation if there ever was one. and yo haterats, i think aftermath vol.2 sounds heavy. shit would be tight after they release the solo albums all these cats on their label first

Eminem & Hittman did a track together already, it's called "What's the Difference O.G. version"

Yo we all know Dre dosn't include everything they ever worked on in his lp's...& we all know there is left over tracks..a comp cd with leftover's from all aftermath artists including Dre Dre himself would get my muthaphuccan money fo sho..

and it wouldn't be a dumb move because all tracks would already be complete....just like leftover track's.
i'm pretty sure all aftermath cd's are already over 70% finished with the exception of "Detox"
I say they drop a Aftermath present's cd...vol 2
just like no limit did a couple of years ago....they released a cd with leftover tracks and gave em' away with any purchase of a No limit lp..(they did this promo at the Wherehouse)
sounds like Dre would make mo money like that...what yall think.
a free bonus cd included with any purchase of aftermath shitt... :o...I wish.

a compilation now for aftermath would be ideal...the first one didnt work out too well....sure they had the names on it....rbx, king tee, dre, b-real, krs...but the rest were unknown artists....i feel that compilations as the first release for a label is always a bad move....the ruff ryders were smart....they had dmx drop his album first...make a name...then hit them with the compilation...thats the same thing aftermath should do...they should drop the dre album, ems and ras....then hit us with the compilation...even if they dont do it that way....eminems name alone will sell it...throw in dres...even more...rakims too...hittman and truth hurts are making names for themselves now too....it would be a tight album....but i would not like to see a bunch of new jacks on it...keep the line up short....oversaturation is no good

Dre is a perfectionalist y'all and I doubt he would release another compilation. He does have leftover tracks and plenty but if they weren't good enough to be on albums then they aren't good enough to be released.(Dre probably thinks like this) Not that he doesn't wanna sell or please his fans but I don't think he would take the risk of another compilation after what happened to the first one.
