Congrats to M Dogg. I read the BWS article and it makes some pretty good points, escpically about the beef in the west leading to its downfall.

Thanks... I got some time now that college is done.  :D

I just wanted to touch on how much beef didn't help the west, even though it seem like it did. Those that build their careers off beef though were flash in the pans. Those that stayed their course and stayed cool with everyone ened up on top. I forgot to mention Snoop, he is the top of the west for 7 years now, and he only responded to on beef outta many that came his way. Everyone on the west took shots and he stayed cool and wish them the best, and is even talking about working with Suge again. These new cats in the game have to know this.

Yeah it definitely had some interesting points, especially about the beef and how it never really helps people as it seems.

Only thing about it that I think makes the situation different, is that they may be brothers, but they didn't grow up together and live in the same household, and had two different parents. It seemed as if they were pretty close, but since they didn't really start bein around each other til Game was late in high school or after, they aren't gonna be quite as close as you might expect them to.

It may not always be smart to involve family in business in some situations, but if you look at all of the people involved at the beginning, it may not have been the winning recipe that it seemed on the outside. For one, everybody in their hood, and in Compton, knew about Game's real past, and knew that much of it was fabricated or exaggerated, and that this is what made his image what it was. We all know it's never to live good off of lies, and that the chance for bein put on blast can easily put your career into limbo. The lies were about everything from ownin his block, to bein in a coma and startin to rap after that life changing moment.

I am assuming he really is from CBP, but from how it seems, he was never 100% like everybody else and it seemed like he was part of it only because Fase was his brother. For those of you who are in college and know anything about black greek life, this closely resembles what it is to pledge and get hazed, versus being considered "paper". In that, most greeks haze, and haze the shit outta you, and most people who survive it feel that it creates extreme loyalty to the organization and to each other. However, whenever an organization is under investigation, or has been in trouble for being caught hazing, they may allow certain members to cross "paper", meaning they don't go through much or anything at all, but they are still seen as being official to the world. With that, barely any greeks who went through the hard process have any respect for the ones who are paper, and they might let the paper ones rep the org if they are doin big things, but they will never really see them as their brother or sister. This situation is a whole lot like what could have happened with Game. Many of the people from the hood may have never accepted him as bein from the hood, and they could have seen it like "damn...well he's bringin hella money to the hood, and it's makin us world famous...we know the truth, but the rest of the world doesn't, so shit he can rep it to the death" but they probably never accepted him or felt loyal to him as they did to the people they grew up with, fought with, and had numerous situations with. So having these type of people as the main support base for a company is already a shaky start and could easily lead to trouble.

With that...most of the people who were part of BWS probably saw it like it was a good business move, and things could go good, but only if everybody involved can play their part and things don't get outta hand. Many people I know feel that Game turned into a character or a monster that no one could tame, and that his ego got to the best of him and that he became the person he tried to be since the day he was signed. I know that every time I was over there with him, he only seemed to be cool and in a good mood the last two times. But before that, he just seemed like he was always angry as hell, and like he was too gangsta to be cordial. As I have said before, we all know Billboard had a much bigger rep than Game did on the streets, but that he was much more cool and down to earth. I remember Game walkin in his house the second time I was there, a few months after I had first met him in September when he prolly wasn't payin attention because he was mad about bein pushed back. He saw me and my homeboy sittin on the couch in the house, and Phat Rat and I think his cousin were right there with us, meanin we had to be somebody down and not just some random cats. Instead of walkin in like "whas up, what's ya names" like most people, he was like "ey, who the fuck is these lil niggas??" and Phat Rat told him I was R-Tistic, the one who did beats that he was tellin him about, and he kept walkin to his room. The first time we were there, my homeboy was sittin on somethin that looked just like a couch but wasn't, and he was like "ey that ain't no couch lil nigga....the couch is right there!" and my boy hopped up quick. So I know that he probably had to act as somebody else his entire time bein famous, and it was evident from when he did shit like spittin in a young chinese girl's face overseas and tellin security to escort her out, because she was in the crowd shoutin "Game! 50!" and probably had no idea what she was sayin. So I am sure that Fase got tired of puttin up with somebody who was actin as if he was the shit plus some, and who was tryin to play major games against him. If you see when Fase said that the last straw was when Game was in Miami and decided to talk to Suge against command after sayin "you call it, should I talk to him" and then Fase sent him the text sayin he didn't like how it went down and Game was like "have a nice flight" and then started callin people tellin them that Fase had quit, I would have stopped fuckin with him the same way, regardless of the money involved, because he was out to self-destruct.

I am just commenting as an outsider. And I agree, Game never seem that real to me. But if he wants to be the resurrection of the west, his doing it all wrong and will end up like 'Pac in the end. When 'Pac died, his fame went up, but the west died on September 13, 1996. With Game, the west has trying to comeback, and if he is for real, then his death bed will mark the end of the resurrection. He is the one calling himself the resurrection. And I say that unless he changes, that is not going to happen.

Oh yeah I definitely feel what you said and I agree with a lot of that, I was just expounding more on why their split might be worst than what it may usually seem. I don't know if he is willing to change, and if he is, it might be too late.
