"I know someone already posted a rumor, but BET News just said that The Game said he was going to leave Aftermath because he wants to sever all ties with 50 Cent's G-Unit label. It also said that The Game will still work creatively with Dr. Dre."
I don't know how he will he still work with Dre if he leaves aftermath that would be retarded. Damn this sucks, obviously Game is trynna push some sort of blackwallstreet label.

Rakim said the same thing when he left the 'Math. Once an artists leaves that label, Dre never works with them again...that, or they're never heard from again.
In any case, it's unfortunate that Game is off Aftermath, if this is indeed true. His career was sabotaged by all that G-Unit nonsense, if you ask me. Yeah, with 50's backing, he sold more records...but still, he's a credible artist, imo. He just gets caught up in stupid shit, but when it all comes down to it, Game knows how to make dope records.

Most of the producers Game used on his 1st album were not on the label so he should be good with beats. Now we will see if he can run a label by himself. It is easy to clown 50 about sales but now Game is trying to get that boss status so I hope he knows what he is doing. People said Snoop would not amount to shit without Dre and look how he turned out. Time for him to link up with Fred Wreck.

yeah, i think you were right the first time.......its that shaki guy.......and as far as game goes, its industry bullshit politics.....from dre to cube to snoop, they have all fell victim to sum label drama, and they all flourished as a result of changing..........why cant we support our own? Im sure game would want to be involved wit dre as much as possible, and this isnt a move he wants to make, but has too........he had a falling out with a very powerfull label mate.............what would the ideal way to handle the beef with 50 have been, and would it have made a difference? whether it was one diss record or a hundred, i think he was destined to get dropped, as a result of his actions.............

Dizzam, can't see anybody exactly winning anything if Game leaves the Math. A damn shame really.

if game can establish himself as a solo artist, without the help of anyone then i think dre will still work with him.

I dont see how 50 brought the west back coz if im not mistaken "Dreams" got higher on the charts than "How we do"......People seriously need to get off fifties nuts. If he done all that 4 Game coz he was on a hook or 2 why didnt it do the same for Yayo or Mobb Deep??.....Coz Game actualy has TALENT, More talent than anyone from G-Unit anyway.....People just scared 2 give him his dues. BUt like dude said, look what happened to Cube and Snoop after they left Dre, Extremely successful careers.....and Game is too well heard of just 2 b swept under the rug like that Brooklyn cat and all the others tht left the Math......

No doubt. Game will sell on his name alone, now that he has an established record out. Plus he is in Tyrese's new movie, showing that he hasnt gone anywhere. b/c on the documentary, his lyrics were mainly name drops and filler. he was kind of slow and off-beat too.
this is coming from someone who's really anticipating doc's advocate though. i like game's potential more than i like the rapper if that makes sense - he just sounds corny on a lot of songs.

Lets not forget about the fact that How We Do is a Dre production, Hate It Or Love It a Cool N Dre, Dreams a Kanye and Put You On The Game a Timbo. Which means he had all THE hottest producers at the moment. Yayo had no names. And Games promotion was waaaaaaay bigger than Yayos. You could see how much 50 helped when Hate It Or Love It and How We Do blew up crazy, on the other hand Dreams and Put You On The Game didnt do shit. Fact is half of the people that acutally buy these records still think Hate It Or Love It and How We Do are 50 Cents song.
