This is really a hard one, but i have to go with The Chronic on this one.
-
both of em
-
Damn that is tough. They are kinda structured the same with loads of guest appearances from the crew but obviously Doggystyle had more Snoop on it. Hell both man, you can't go wrong with either one.
-
LOL i know this is a hard one. But you gotta pick one. I was thinking about this for almost an hour myself.
-
I'll have some of your finest Chronic, thank you.

Im ging with Doggystyle just becasue i feel it has a little more bounce to it.
THe songs on chronic are gangsta as all hell but the ones on doggystyle i feel have more of a bounce to it.

Agreed that both albums were structred in kinda of the same way and each is laced with a couple traccs that can be skipped
I'ma have to roll with "Doggystyle" on this one cuz "The Chronic" tends to be a little more dated with all the "disses" it has throughout the disc
-
The Chronic, easy.
-
"Doggystyle" without a doubt.

The Chronic. It's the foundation.
-
Doggystyle is a no-skipper to me, The Chronic isn't... but then again, the best songs on The Chronic are better than the best songs on Doggystyle...
it's hard...
but i tend to bump Doggystyle more often, so it's Doggy Dogg for me...

I Refuse to vote! :(

Why I would vote Chronic - Grounbreaking Album, had an amazing mixture of songs from political commentary, to laid back, to party, to serious, to lyrical (at the time). Production was unheard at the time, and the way he interpolated old school music and made it modern was great. We'd never heard songs take modern drums at the time, but make them even more hard hitting and sharp, then put live instruments along with classic funk sounds. Set the comedic tone for many gangsta albums to come, although the humor was very NWA inspired. Had the best song in rap history, Nuthin but a G thang.
Why I wouldn't vote Chronic- Many songs sound dated, which makes plenty of sense for it to be 14 damn years old. But some songs that sounded more NWA than "G-Funk" are harder to listen to and harder for youngsters to appreciate. I got into rap a few months after it released, so I loved and still love the singles, as well as a few more songs...but there are some songs that I just can't get into as much.
Why I would vote Doggystyle - Took what Dre did on the Chronic to another level production wise, and had 100% solid production on every track. Some songs still sound modern. Snoop had the greatest flow of all time when he dropped it, and his flow still sounds modern today. This is my favorite album of all time, because of how good it sounds from start to finish. This is the album that got me into rap, and inspired me to rap (back then) and eventually produce.
Why I wouldn't vote Doggystyle - Topics weren't as diverse as on Chronic, and it wasn't as groundbreaking. There were some small errors on the album that showed how rushed it was.
Ummmm.........................***goes to find a coin***

I think you hit up everything i dint say because it owuld of taken too long lol
Doggysyle has more of that Gfunk sound, chronic has more of a mix between Nwa and Gfunk
You said chronic was the foundation just as i feel 2001 was the foundation of what Dre does to this day.

Doggystyle. Beats/Lyrics/Flow is way more universal than Chronic.
