Post by: Tanjential on January 12, 2007, 10:42:47 AM

isn't this dudes first album? why is there a dead presidents II? i hate jay z so much

in the beginning of friend or foe dude says "the in my lifetime nigga?" wasn't in my lifetime his second album? isn't this Jay's first album? was 'in my lifetime' the name of his mixtape or what?

jay released his cd's in this order

reasonable doubt
in my lifetime vol. 1
vol. 2 hard knock life
vol. 3 the life and times of s. carter
the dynasty roc la familia
the blueprint
mtv unplugged
the blueprint 2
the blueprint 2.0

while reasonable doubt isn't my favorite album...(my fav is vol. 1)...his flow on RD and V1 was the best its ever been

while i appreciate it, that doesn't explain why this camel ass dude already has a part II on his first album.

and it doesn't explain why dude in fried or foe is talking about in my lifetime on reasonable doubt.

like nasty nem said...they were promo's...but my question is...why the fuck does it matter? its a classic album...who cares what the titles of the songs are?

^^ Indeed it's simple. There's a "Dead Presidents II" because Jay had already made a song called "Dead Presidents" before. Ask yourself the same question about Mobb Deep's Shook Ones pt2.

Something doesn't really add up.

so in my lifetime was promoting RD even though it's not on it?

of course there's a part 1 somewhere else, but being a person in a record store how can I hear part one? I don't like putting someone's first album in and be missing pieces to the story. shit is annoying.

Eventhough I hate his guts, this iis a decent album put out by Jay. D'Evils, Brooklyn's Finest, and Dead Presidents are dope. I don't really feel anything else. To be honest, I think this album is overrated just like the rest of his Catalogue. Blueprint 2 was better than this.

^^It's all about taste, man.I was really surprised by this album.I mean, I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, I've seen a lot of people say it's overrated, but nonetheless I had high expectations and wasn't dissappointed.Def a classic in my book
