Title: Lil Half Dead - Appreciation thread
Post by: biggbarcc on March 16, 2007, 05:00:59 PM: Dead has arisen & Steel on a mission are classic gangst funk albums. anybody who dont have em, go get em.... besides all these classic albums like chronic, doggystyle, these are like the little nephews or brothers of the chronic and doggystyle. I miss those days where music like this was created. lil half dead is a decent rapper, enough to make you bop yo head.... production is dope, westcoast g-funk at its finest. a shame Lil HD never got any more exposure thru these albums.

eastside, westside one of the best g-funk songs IMO, one of the standout tracks....

Was he on Wrong Idea by Bad Azz and Snoop? It says featuring Lil HD but I remember hearing him rap or even seeing him in the video back in the day when that shit got play. I love that track though.

i better try ebay... i found it on amazon.com for 48$ and on amazon.de for 99€. It's a shame that it's so rare.

Don't buy any rare albums from amazon, cause they are hella over priced. You can get Dead Has Arisen for only 25$ from ebay easily if you keep looking.
In my opinion The Dead Has Arisen is the best album from Lil ½ Dead, but Steel On A Mission isn't falling far from it. TDHA has better beats, I think. Both classic albums and if you like g-funk at all, you just gotta have at least Dead Has Arisen album.

Post by: evan the dude on March 17, 2007, 04:03:14 PM: half dead is definitely one of my favorite artists, those two albums from the nineties are considered classics to me! it's kinda sad now though....one of the things i liked most about half dead was his smooth flow...his voice has changed DRASTICALLY since the nineties. he sounds like a totally different rapper now. all in all though, it's always good to hear some new half dead.
