Ya, its kind of wierd, i was almost positive that the Celtics would get first pick, as it is a vital market for the NBA.
However, I'm happy the teams that tanked it this season on purpose didn't get first pick.

What are you talkin about ? the result is perfect for the Lakers.. our potential "trades" aren't fucked up (read Gasol , Oneal...)

The only upside is that Jerry West really has no reason to stick around Memphis now (had they got Oden I think he would've change his mind). As much as I want Gasol, I don't see how we could possibly get him. Too many odds against it.
-
Oh and this also makes the competition even more stiff. The Blazers and Sonics already gave us trouble. Now the Blazers will have Oden and the Sonics will have Durant. Why couldn't atleast 1 of these bastards go to the Eastern Conference >:(
-
^^^^ yeah... but there was a time we hadn't to worry about other teams .. I wish these days will come back soon :-\
-
Damn there goes another playoff spot ya'll Laker fans are gonna have to worry about, haha, just playin' but for real tho Brandon Roy, Zach Randolph, and Greg Oden! Jesus Christ that's a lineup, Watch the Blazers in a year or two, they'll be doin' thangs.
-
^^^^ they will have a very good future.. I would worry about the organization ability though.. their previous decisions during the latest 5 years have been :-X
-
hahahahah dayumn boston and memphis got FUCKED IN THE ASS.

That's a shame. :P If all goes well, Portland can be a power houe in a couple years. 8)

Uhhh, Jerry West has officially stepped down..And there's a good chance Gasol is getting traded somewhere. Lakers are a front-runner.

Don't forget Lamarcus Aldridge...Dude played like a beast in the finals months of the season.
-
It will be interesting to see if they will keep them all or trade Zach Randolph and move Aldridge to PF. I wanted Chicago to keep that pick of him.
-
^Yea, they should probably trade Randolph...Lamarcus Aldridge>Tyrus Thomas.
-
Roy, Aldridge, and Oden will be fucking ridiculous. I do wish both Durant and Oden would have went to the east. Portland should be fun as hell to watch.
I still enjoy watching Durant the most, saw him 3 times live last year and he was fuckin amazing. He's gonna do some serious damage.
-
^^^^ Seatlle should trade Lewis to find a better center (though they very rare)
Ridnour
Allen
Durant
Wilcox
good center
this team can be serious
but yeah regarding the results of the lottery, this won't be a gap but a galaxy between East and West.. in 2, 3 years the 10th team on the West will have a better record than the 4th in the East (it's not far being the case nowadays anyways...)

Wilcox plays most of his minutes at center...Plus, they have Swift, Collison, Petro, who are all great prospects...The last thing they need is a center.
-
¨^^^^^ I can tell you Petro won't do shit.. no work ethic... anyways I don't see the point at having both Durant and Lewis at the Small forward position

Kevin Durant and Rashard Lewis can be perfect as a 3-4 combo...Both players are tweeners who can switch off on both positions. Don't forget, Seattle is a running team.
-
PG Luke Ridnour
SG Ray Allen
SF Kevin Durant
PF Rashard Lewis
C Chris Wilcox

I was talking about a "championship" perspective.. running teams ain't doin shit in the playoffs.. with Durant/Lewis at 4 they would be abuse defensive wise

Trust me, they wont give up on the running game...This is why I hate Phoenix so much. They're changing basketball for the worst and their influence is way too huge for a team that's never won a championship...I actually think Seattle has too many centers though...Wilcox, Sene, Collison, Swift, Petro, Fortson. :-X

what's so hard for coaches to understand ?? you don't win titles at running .. at least your point guard is named Earvin Johnson

Please don't compre the Showtime Lakers to a running team of today. :-X
Those teams played great defense and had an inside-outside game with Magic & Kareem. The Lakers of the 80's are closer to the Spurs than they are to the Suns...PeACe

Dude, just admit that you hate Phoenix because Nash won two MVP's you feel Kobe should've won, and you hate them because they have beat the Lakers two years in a row.
As for running, it doesn't seem Phoenix will win a championship exactly the way they are, but besides Nash (who doesn't appear to be slowing down) they are young and should actually have a chance to get better.
To me, i would rather see teams run the floor then see teams with one guy take all the shots.............i guess i just like team basketball better.

That's why I said the Magic thing... I meant the Showtime era was the closest thing to a running team type of play.. but they had a great halfcourt game too

I NEVER liked the way the Suns play...I've hated Phoenix prior to last years series, as you can even see in the history of this board. So stop pulling shit out of your ass, cuz it doesn't make you look too good. I don't like Phoenix for the exact reasons I stated. The main one=subtracting from the way the professional game is meant to be played...You can disagree all you want, but teams are undeniably trying to duplicate this style...So do you think Phoenix ball is fundamental ball that can win championships? Cuz if you don't, you agree with me...PeACe
