Wow, the SPurs just amazing in the defensive end. DUncan getting blocks like crazy, the way they are guarding James, they are definitely one of the best defensive teams ever.
As for Lebron, i don't know honestly what he can do right now. Its too bad Mike Brown is only a defensive coach but has no clue about offense...........run LBJ off some screens, post him up; damn, Lebron needs to work on his post game.
There is a reason i made a thread that Lebron will be the best player in the league in 2-3 years, because it is obvious he is not the best player in the game right now..........that player is Duncan.
Lastly, the Spurs have three guys that can consistently create their own shot, while the Cavs only have one guy who can do that. There is a reason i have repeatedly said Lebron's supporting cast is weak, and it is because noone else can consistenly score on their own. The Cavs MIGHT win a game, but really, they and Lebron are in the finals just to get experience this year; they will need to add another player before they can win a title

I'm not sure if teecee meant the Finals or the entire NBA, but Duncan makes a pretty good case for himself in either category. He isn't flashy, but his team keeps winning. Yes, he does have a good supporting cast, but he is the cog on the team. He isn't the scorer Kobe or Lebron are, but he's a great scorer. He is a great defender. He is a great rebounder. He alters hundreds of shots that don't go in. He his a great passer. He just isn't flashy. He doesn't score a lot, but he is consistent and great at everything but freethrows.
And quit bringing Kobe into topics.

It does suck at times watching Timmy, his game is just basic, but he's damn good at it! Most people prefer three's, crazy fadeaways, and spectacular dunks to layups, basic post moves, and jump shots...but I agree with you though, Timmy is the best player in the league he just doesn't get credit for how GREAT he is.

NO doubt man, Gibson was NICE again in limited minutes and may become a great player. However, he average 4.5 ppg this year, and i said the Cavs "need someone who can create their own shot CONSISTENTLY", not once in a blue moon. If a rookie picked 42 overall is their only other player who can score without being wide open off a James pass, then the Cavs are in trouble. Still, i hope Gibson gets some major minutes next game, he just doesn't seem to miss.

Kobe is a virus who can only go so far in the lead role, like Michael Vick in the NFL. Vick won't ever win a super bowl unless his team has a way better defense than offense and Kobe won't ever win a championship again unless LA find a leader and Kobe plays second fiddle. ;)

Good call. Kobe as a scorer is better than anybody in the league, but that's it. He can't lead or do anything else like Timmy can do.

Duncan has not one, but TWO superstars playing alongside him. Put Ginobli and Parker on the Lakers and see what happens. :laugh:

It's not even about creating his own shot.. Cavs need someone who can create plays and run the offense, outside Lebron.. Cavs need to develop a passing game.. a true point guard and some players who can handle the ball will give the Cavs an incredible boost.. their offense as a team is horrible.. thing is their defense is great so lots of changes won't be clever.. maybe they will grow together through the years on the offensive end but they SURE need a solid point guard.. put a solid PG on this team and Cavs will win this title.. the HUGE difference in this final is in no way Duncan.. it's Parker and Ginobili able to create plays ... on the other side Cavs got not true PG and got damn Hugues is HORRIBLE ...

^Mike Brown and Hughes are terrible, they really need to do something about that, their offense is lacks so much in ideas it is mind-boggling; problem is, after such a successful year they won't make major changes :-\ But if I was them I'd trade Hughes' ridiculous contract for the expiring contract of a vet + pick(s), then try to sign a good PG with the MLE.

I expect Cleveland to come out Blazing today, Especially L.James
James pretty much got shut down game 1, & his shooting was not anything close to the level he has been playing at latley.
his first half stat's for game 1 were :-\
Today's game will define the rest of the series for both team's, If SA win's another low scoring game then...(it's what is expected)
If the Cavs come out and play witht the hunger they showed in the closeout games Vs. the Piston's then they have a chance.
(^^I think the majority of the people watching expected to see those Cav's^^)
Boobie need's some more playing time, & James need's to score like a mutha to start off the game...
that will get the rest of his team exicited to play & have less pressure on them to shoot the ball. James has to be first (IMO)

the Cavs need to bench Larry Hughes and kick Marshall off the team both these players are driving me insane... gibson should start and jones should get way more playing time.. also about the whole duncan vs kobe thing.. duncan is way more of a complete player he can block pass and he has those bank shots in his back pocket.. by far the best power foward to ever play the game..

Duncan is great, but he's not even in his prime anymore...And he's not more complete than Kobe. Maybe you could claim that if he was capable of shooting free-throws, but still, Duncan is playing alongside not 1, but 2 superstars and some amazing role players as well. Some may even argue that Tony Parker is currently the best player on the Spurs...I don't personally believe that, but I also can't agree with Duncan being the current best in the league. He's on the best team, yes, but individually, naah...That was arguable in 2002, 2003, around his prime...PeACe

The Spurs have been DOMINANT, much as I expected when i predicted the Spurs would sweep. Parker is playing SICK, and like you said George Jung, Duncan is a complete player and just too dominant. The Spurs would've won last year if his feet weren't fucked up.........BUt now, Duncan is playing prehaps the best ball of his career! He just doesn't make bad decisions, he is so damn SMART out there. How is he not in his prime?
Anyone who thought the Cavs could win this series are on LBJ WAY TOO HARD. Everyone except NIK knows this is a poor team, with no offensive game plan whatsover. Their so called "great supporting cast" with "all-star calibre" players has looked horrible so far. Gibson has been nice in the finals, Lebron has been alright considering the pressure and the defense he is facing, but the rest have been horrible besides Gooden at times.
And yo, i STILL hope the Cavs can make a series of this.............

NO WAY Duncan is in his prime, fool...LOL. There's no way around it. And yes, the Cavs do have a better supporting cast than the Lakers. Still doesn't make them great...Did the Cavs beat the Bulls? If I remember correctly, they beat a Piston team playing their worst basketball of the season, sorta like the Heat last year. And I believe the Cavs would make a series out of a Cleveland-Phoenix match-up as well...What can't YOUR brain make sense out of?
