"As you guys know, J Flexx will be shipping the end of this month (about a week). Sales were not near what we were hoping as you guys know. With that said we will still be shipping the orders recieved, but this is the one week we are hoping all the people that didnt order the release or didnt want to will have a change of heart. We were planning on doing Sam Sneed's album next but its going to be near impossible now due to how J-Flexx's sales turned out. This is your chance to make a difference and make a impact. If the sales stay the same in this week we will still ship the orders as planned but it will put a halut on future releases (besides OFTB) and may even make us re-consider 80% of the planned projects. We're not threatening anything and if you can not afford it by all means dont order, this is just a request to those that can afford it and can make a difference or everyone. Thanks guys."
i dont want another argument here. if u guys want to see sum sam sneed please order the flexx album if u havent. no1 here would realy want all the othr projects be stopped. spread the news, buy the album please. jus 1 week left till the album ships.

if thery had the intention to put a booklet with the credits, to print the cd's and to make covers with a good quality impression, they will sell really more cd's than now..

Their rapping styles might be a little similar (I think Flexx wrote a lot of Sam Sneed's shit), but Sam Sneed always comes correct on the beats and that's why his album is highly sought after.

fuck them, they were cheating on people for a long time. they promised after the first release they were going to put out the music WE all love, but instead they only release shit. and when people don't buy a fucking copy, instead of learn how to do a good business they said to us to buy a j-flexx cd if we want a sam sneed.
fuck ftp and the 30 copies they sell of every project.
Even the people doesn't care for the petey pablo to ask for a link...they want us to pay 30$ for a piece of shit.

Well the problem here is that J-Flexx is the one with the Sam Sneed material. He doesn't really want to waste his time with a Sneed album if he can't even sell his own album. Also, we would have Crooked I's album, if it weren't for Crooked I himself. He threatened FTP with legal action if they dropped it. FTP offered to joint release it with him and he declined. So a lot of the stuff is really out of FTP's hands so don't blame them for everything. But I see where you guys are coming from.

I doubt sneed is ever released cause ppl will not buy flexx for a sneed album (maybe if they charged more for the sneed album that would make sense), guess j flexx is stuck with it and im wondering what he's planning on doing with it?

I'm just curious about the logic here...everytime these guys go to release a cd, they say they won't release the next one unless enough orders get filled for the current one. They also say how you won't be dissapointed and it is such great material, etc. Why do they have to keep doing this? If every cd is such great material that people aren't disapointed, then why do they need to keep saying these things? Why don't they just let the J Flexx album be, whoever bought it, bought it, whoever downloads it, downloads it, and thats it. If the J flexx album is really as good as its talked about, won't people just realize that, and then buy the sam sneed cd?
Why don't they say: The J Flexx album is so fucking hot, but the sam sneed one is even better. Take a listen to the Flexx album, and then you make the decision. And then people can make their own decision about it. And if these albums are so damn hot, then why do they constantly have to beg and threaten people to buy them?

im on the same page that if its not someone ur interested in, dont buy it just to get something later that you gotta pay for. but if ur into classic death row, this is a collector item. to the guy who made the mcdonalds analogy, homie it seems like nobody understands that it takes money to get these songs and to transfer them in good quality. if you paid for unreleased material from your favorite artist would u put it out to ungrateful bitches for free?? it dont make sense. if i went by how u guys think, i would buy 50 big macs and give them out free for "the love of it". fukin hippies

The one thing they don't understand is the same thing the music biz in general doesn't get...that music fans today prefer downloading it or listing to more than 30 second clips to get a feel for the album, then decide whether to support the artist. Artists got away with releasing a lot of garbage in the 90's and they're paying the price for quantity over quality.
They were counting on the many Golden Era Death Row fans to cop the album on name alone without giving second thoughts, and that really isn't the way music fans think anymore.

there is no market for these albums...these cats paid for these albums because THEY were feinding for it but they over estimated the demand for these...If they would have busted these out a few years ago the responce would have been much better but most west coast rap fans wanna see the genre evolve not regress.
If your boy flex was smart he would record some new shit and leak those old tracks on it mixed up with his new shit or make it a bonus disc.

That's a good point, the market potential for these probably has passed except for the die-hard fans. The time to release this stuff would've been around 1999-2000. I don't know about thinking stuff that Sam Sned and J Flexx recorded back in the day is a regression of west coast music. If it sounds good then it sounds good. Besides, haven't there been threads on this forum where people are complaining about what happened to the classic west coast sound? These are the people who should be buying up these kinds of FTP projects.

Well count how many people in this thread said they bought it. It totals to like 4 people if that. Then consider this board and makaveli-forever are the only boards this stuff gets advertised on. Then consider this board hates on FTP WAY more than supporting them. With all that said, 30 copies is pretty realistic.
And ya there is no market for this stuff anymore as far as people willing to pay for the music. 2 years ago I bet people would've been shelling out a lot of dough for this stuff. I swear that most of the people on this board don't even support the artists that they bump with legit albums in stores. People are begging for shit 24/7 on this board. Requesting an out of print album is one thing, but really they're too cheap to go to Best Buy and pay $10. It's sad that these kids feel they don't need to buy anything anymore. The game is fucked up. And this last paragraph I'm not even talking about bootlegs, just retail albums. I myself used to cop everything under the sun from the stores, and am guilty of not buying all the albums I bump. BUT if I feel the music is on point, I will pick up a release when I can.

You know..........this might be the first release I might actually support and the only way I will support this release is if J Flexx don't dab his greedy ass hands into the money and the shit goes to Sam Sneed. Sam Sneed is one of the best producers of all time. Sure we haven't got to hear that much of him, but from what we all have heard of his shit it was BANGING. If this is the actual 75% completed album I will pay for this, and even if it isn't I am always into hearing new shit from Sneed. The dude is the fucking golden child. I don't give a fuck who runs For The People or what they've done to me and other customers when this comes out as long as Sneed gets his propers. It's all gravy.
