EDIT:
Ok, now I was listening to this song carefully... and at the start where rappers usually credit the producer of the track.... Game says....
''Dre YOU must have been off the henasy when HE did this one nigga''
Now to me this sounds like Game is talking to Dre and says that Dre must have been too drunk from the henasy to produce a track so Jelly Roll produced this one.
Also from a dubcnn interview (http://www.dubcnn.com/interviews/thegame/) Game says it is Jelly Roll himself
Dubcnn: One thing which kinda showed the quality of your last album is that even the leftovers were on a high quality level. There was this one leftover called "Hard Liquor" with Jelly Roll. That song was easy album material in my eyes, and would have probably been by far the best song on other peoples albums?
The Game: Yeah, I wrote that and Jelly Roll produced that track. But you know, that wasn't shit but some mixtape shit.
It is officially Jelly Roll on the hook. Because Jelly Roll is credited for the vocals on the Hard Liquor (Interlude) from LAX. So it must have been him on the original leftover from The Documentary.
So i have come to a conclusion that:
Hard Liquor (feat. Jelly Roll)
Produced by Jelly Roll
the game - hard liquor feat. jelly roll produced by jelly roll.mp3 - 5.40MB (http://www.zshare.net/audio/1718872471e41b14/)
-
pretty sure its Dr. Dre.
-
lol, how many times is this going to pop up

lol, how many times is this going to pop up
so why is some other moron telling me its Jelly Roll...
-
cos it is Jelly Roll on the hook and beat, Game said it himself
-
It's Jelly Roll, not Kokane. Not sure about the beat though.

so who is on the hook? Kokane or Jelly Roll? and why the fuck did game say ....Dre you must have been off the henasy when you did this one nigga?

hook by: jelly roll. produced by: dr. dre. song from documentary era. this shows you how game's still obsessed wit dre LOL.
-
I'm sure Game says "Dre he must have been on the hennessey when he did this one" - i.e. talking to Dre about Jelly Roll.

Nah, it's "Dre, you must have been off the Hennessey when you did this one nigga.
There was some interview some years ago where it was revealed that Dre was in the studio with Game, and Dre asked Game to come up with a hook for the track, but Game didn't come up with anything, or Dre didn't like it, so Dre called in Jellyroll to do the hook.. I think it was mentioned in the context of 50's hook-writing skills.
Dunno if it was a 50 or Game interview, NJD, or whoever it was, but I remember reading it, and it sounds kinda believable.
Btw, the interlude on Game's album sounds slightly different from the released version of Hard Liquor.

so why did game give jelly roll the production credits in that dubccnn interview....?

Jelly Roll is a producer, theirs no way he'd be on the hook without producing the track. Game name drops Dre all the time. Saying this sounds like Kokane is insulting to him.

Game contradicts himself all the time, he seems rather confused.

No ?
15. Never Can Say Goodbye (feat. Latoya Williams)
Produced by Ervin "EP" Pope
Bass by Willam "kiddFLYY" Taylor
Guitar by Glenn Jeffrey
Vocals by Traci Nelson & Jellyroll
I know Jelly did vocals before without producing the track as well.

oooooouch .. sounds like dreish beats . not jellyrolls, he's got a way different style even wen he fucks wit the piano
-
Me and Jellyroll from tha same label! For tha last time its Jellyroll singing tha hook not Kocain!!!!!!!
-
AS far as tha beat goes Ask Game????? 100% fact Jelly Singing but he didnt make tha beat.. I wana say Dre, then i've also heard Rodny Jerkins
-
If I were a betting man, I'd say it was produced by Dr. Dre and Scott Storch. Makes sense seeing as how Dre & Scott cooked up the Start From Scratch joint, as well as Westside Story - both off the Documentary. The keys are vintage Storch.

i know why ppl are getting mixed up, because the style of the hook is something that kokane would do and they sound simlar, makes no sense game saying dre u must have been off the hennesy when u did this one ni**a and its a jelly roll produced track wouldnt jelly roll get pissed off that he aint getting no credit and dre is?
-
Dont believe half the shit Game says ever. I always thought it was produced by Jelly Roll I think I got some credits for it somewhere.
-
one of my favorite westcoast traccs
one of my favorite game traccs
but theres too much confusion wit this 1 and "let me tell you something"
bangin tho
-
producers have what you would call a signature sound and dre fingerprints is all over this beat. it's not jelly roll's sound at all.
-
cant think of another song that has caused more confusion than this 1 (yet anyway)
