8)

-
i dont know about Manny i see him a dodger or a angel, yankees need pitching , i def see c.c with the yanks
-
i'm pretty sure manny is staying.

i'm pretty sure manny is staying.
You do know who his agent is right? Yankees will pay up...but if Dodgers go to the World Series..i see Manny staying for a little than he could get in New York.
That'd be a bigger F.U. to the Red Sox than Damon (even though Damon is no wheere near Manny's level)
-
manny loves baseball. he loves it so much that he doesnt care if he does good or bad, he just wants to play. with no pressure on himself, he just plays to his god-given natural abilities. thats why he does so well in the post-season. if he strikes out, hes not thinking "ok, i HAVE to get a hit next AB".
one of the reasons he didnt like boston was because everyone was putting pressure on him and bothering him everywhere he went. he grew tired of that and grew tired of boston. he knows new york is JUST like that..if not worse. so what makes you think he will want to sign with the yanks?
i know i know, money speaks..but if manny is being real about what he is saying since he got to LA (and this is one thing i do believe hes being real on), then i dont think anything short of $35M for 5 years will convince him to forgo his happiness and sign with NY.
i know it would be a MASSIVE "fuck you" to the sox, but so is hitting 5HR and driving in a boat load of runs against em in the WS..if either team gets that far.
i believe that frank mccourt will resign manny for 4yrs averaging 25/yr...cause it will probably be back heavy, since after next year we have schmidt and jones comin off the books.
manny is a HUGE money asset to the dodgers. the $$ that would come in off of manny merch would probably cover about half of his salary..if not more. in one of our pregame shows i think they said that the dodgers have sold about $4M worth of manny merch...in 50 games!!!
you guys will probably end up with CC..but im almost positive that manny ends his carrer in LA Blue..
-
I think the Dodgers are gonna fuck up and let Manny go...
if he goes to the Angels I'm going to be sick
-
"I love LA, bring me back next year"
"LA is the place to be"
"I wanna thank Scott for bringing me to LA"
-
Manny left Boston for money reasons. He started to throw a fit because the Red Sox were obviously going to pick up his option at the end of the season, and that option will not even be close to the amount of money he can get during the off-season. The only thing Manny is accomplishing by proclaiming his love for L.A. is that he is driving his price up once he hits the FA market. If Manny only cares about playing baseball, Boras would NOT be his agent. You get Boras as an agent because he's the best at getting the most amount of money for you. We'll just see what kind of money teams start throwing at him. Manny a Dodger is nowhere close to being a lock.

If Manny is not a dodger next year, I will delete my account and never come back to this site again....

WCC needs you even more than the Dodgers need Manny. :-\
-
I read online the Mets will go hard for Manny but I also read the Mets aren't that interested in perusing Manny. The figure I read he is looking for is 5/85 million. 17 million a year ain't bad for a hitter of Manny's caliber but who knows when his bat slow down. Will he be like Moises Alou could still rake it at 85 years old or will his bat slow down. And 5 years of Manny in the OF at his age I dont know about that one lol.

Thanks, bruh... Don't trip though, Manny'll be back.

if manny wants 5 years at about 17/per, then the dodgers will probably offer 3-4 at about 20-22 per.
his D isnt the best, but his bat more than makes up for it and he is showing no signs of slowing down..he is hitting like a 29 year old entering his prime! lol

El Duque...did u really just ask Dodger fans if Manny was coming back?
thats a pointless question...you wouldnt get a real reponse, but i do like the question...just not who it is asked too.
i suppose i cant give you a real response either. being a Yankees fan, im going to say hes coming to NY cuz well pay him whatever he wants.
are there any baseball fans, who have no personal bias towards either?
as far as CC goes...i dont know if hes coming back to the AL, even if the pinstripes will pay him more than anyone else. he just owned the NL. he pitched like a beast. i would love to have him, but i dont know where he stands though...with him with Wang, Joba, CC as 1,2,3 for next year...i feel very confident. :)

CC said he wants to hit so who knows where he will end up, probably where the money is best. But if I was a potential suitor of CC his weight would scare the hell out of me. I just think he will be the next Bartola Colon.

my concern is a waste of more money. i mean Bronson Arroyo owned the NL when he first became a Red. had some great numbers...but they fell off since then, cuz they figured him out. i dont wanna give CC what he wants and then he blows. hes gotta pitch against the Sox, Tampa & the Angels. not an easy task. should be interesting next year...

when are the yankees gonna learn that the biggest payroll DOESNT = a WS ring??
he's right guys...we should take the new approach and win WS rings by grabbing LF's...preferably ones that use to play for Boston. its all the rage now on the westcoast. :D ::)

Truth be told the Yankes have enough money coming off the books this year to make 2-3 HUGE splashes. About 90-100 million is coming off the books ?

The 2007 Red Sox will say different
-
Be fair to the 2007 team, they did have major help from their farm system. They were either actually productive on the field or helpful through trades.

true that...i cant even hate. Ellsbury & Pedroia were just beastly.
this year Jon Lester, just owning teams...
-
I think the Yankees aren't going to be in contention of a WS for a few years, regardless of who they pick up
just because it's just the way sports goes, before you know it they'll have been 10 years without a World Series

89 million... I-Rod is a free agent I believe. If I am the Yanks I let everyone walk except Moose if he wants to stay. If Moose is serious about retirement then I re-up with Pettite but that is only if Moose calls it quits.
