Both song's from 1996 and both sample "Never Gonna Stop" by Linda Clifford.
10. All Eyez On Me (feat. Big Syke)
Written by T.Shakur, J.Jackson, J.Pennington
Produced by Johnny J
Mixed by Johnny J & Dave Aron
Engineered by Rick Clifford
Assistant Engineer: Alvin McGill
*contains a sample from "Never Gonna Stop" as recorded by Linda Clifford*
3. Street Dreams
Produced by Poke & Tone for Trackmasters Entertainment
Keyboards by Delight for 2000 Watts Music
Contains an interpolation of "Sweet Dreams" as performed by the Eurythmics
Contains a portion of "Never Gonna Stop" as performed by Linda Clifford
These songs sound too similar so whats the deal behind their production?

They both straight jacked the original.
-
the AEOM rip is much better
-
its called "sampling" ;D
-
same thang
-
for some reason I can't stand the way they flipped the beat on the Nas track
everytime it happens to play on my iPod, I always fiend for the 2Pac version instead
Yeah it is. I always thought Nas did that song to piss Pac off. LOL
-
The most interesting thing about this jacking is.
on that same nas album he states to dre..."niggaz stealing beats"
haha how ironic when nas straight jacked AEOM beat
-
how is it jackin'??? they just happend to sample the same shit...none of them owned the sample so its not really jackin...and i'm pretty sure both of them payed the owner of the sample. no ideas original!

exactly
but All Eyes On Me Is pure classic... Street dreams is hella good too.. but it can't compete with All Eyes On Me

you dont find it interesting it happened in the same year? just a thought. maybe it was just a coincidence.

Maybe Pac got a hold of some tapes & Beats being produced at the time by some eastsoast artist's?
(Someone let him listen to some advanced shit!, And when he came out of jail he dropped them first!)
makes sense to me, he always talked about taking their beat's and making them better...
("Yeah i took your beat's, Because you were not rocking them right")
Pac took Dre's beat's for "Helter skelter/Chronic II"
Took DPG's beat's for "W.C.A.""
Took Teddy Riley's Idea from his blackstreet project for Toss It up..
(Maybe, BUt who know's for sure..)
Took Nas "Street Dreams", Biggie/Junior MAFIA's "Get Money" (Remix) ect...
(Nas had been working on It was written for a while..)
Just for shit's & Giggles..
I always thought Pac took them beat's just to piss THEM Off.

the Nas track is better IMO

I'm amazed how many people dont know what sampling is

fool, people know what sampling is... i even posted the sample used. the question is how was the same sample used in such a similar way for 2 songs that came out the same year. did some producer rip the idea from another?
