Even if Detox does come out, I doubt it'll be released before 2010. I'd love to support some of the up and coming West Coast artist, but the problem is none of them are releasing any albums to support (rappers have been talking for years about releasing their debut albums). The hip hop industry is fucked up and it's 10 times worse on the West Coast.

Its Clear that Jimmy Iovine is Done with Dr.Dre & aftermath, its not a priority to him... so he's gonna keep pushing back the release date until DR.Dre will be to old and tired to release rap music, Jimmy Knows that the Hype for Detox is almost gone, so he's playing with it, so instead will will see another Black Eyed Peas album, or another Fergie or another Pop act before Y'all gets to hear a new single from Dr.Dre...

Your posts are always on point but now you are wrong. Jimmy knows that Detox will sell even if it comes out in 2015. He know Dre will deliver a masterpiece that is going to sell millions of records so he is not worried at all. We don't know what's going on behind the closed doors of Interscope/Aftermath. Those people know when to drop a record.
Other people on this board always think they know the inside and outsides of a record label but they don't know shit. This board will explode when Detox drops haha. I don't care if Detox is going to be released one day. The last good Dre beat is years ago. And I don't want to hear 50 Cent or another bullshit rapper on Detox. Just give me another DJ Quik record and I'm happy.

If you listen to that Stat Quo interview Shade Sheist posted, he said that Dre is under a contract and that he has to release 1 more album or pay a large ammount of money instead. So I do believe it's gonna come out but the question is when.

I believe it's best for both the fans and Dre that he waits until it "sounds right" or scrap it,than give us something neither Dre or the fans will be pleased with.
Exactly. The big issue comes down to Jimmy wanting to put it out because he needs something that will sell and Detox is guaranteed to do huge numbers. With Dre, he knows that if it sells 8 million copies and it's not up to the expectations of those people then it will damage his legacy. Detox will drop. As Stat, Bruce Williams, and countless other people around Dre have pointed out, Interscope would never allow Dre to just shelf an album that could potentially be their biggest selling album in many years.

I doubt he sold the rights to his personal masters, that would be just plain stupid. Besides, would it be such a bad thing if Jimmy released 20 versions of Detox? At least we would know the styles of different versions and why he scrapped them...as long as they don't remix them with Amaru staff, it should be good. ;)
