-

-
lol @ hamtox
speaking of hammer, he released an album in 2006 on his own independant label, and sold 300,000 units worldwide.
thats pretty awesome for an independant release to sell that many units.
he makes like what,... $5 off each cd at the least. so he wouldve made like 1.5 mil $ off it. thats pretty phat!
-
Whether you felt his music or not, Hammer was a barrier breaker and more real than most of these others claim to be.
-
Oh yeah, Can't Touch This was hilarious.
On that note, was Sir-Mix-A-Lot a west coast legend?
-
he had messages in had some lyrics to some of his songs..n for the time from he came in...he wasnt the only one doin what he was doin...
everybody was dancin that era..from kid n play heavy d, hell the main nigga dissin him at the time mc serch was dancin in his videos..
hammer jus knew what he wanted to in the beginnin n he did what he did...

I mean hammer was huge, no doubt. But he can't be compared to the other west coast legends like Tupac, snoop on and on. Hammer was too nice son.

since when do you have to be gangsta to be a west coast legend?
-
Hammer is not only a West Coast legend but a Hip-Hop legend also.. Some of his albums are really bangin' - shame Death Row didn't released "Too Tight" with "Too Late Playa" as a lead single, shit would sell like crazy 8)
-
I can't see any reason why Hammer wouldn't be considered a legend. I loved his shit back in the days and could still bump 'Funky Headhunter' today from front to back.
The Death Row album he did was truly fucking horrendous though.

yep.why they didnt release it? (like many other albums).
is it true that "too tight" was a double cd?
will we ever see credits to "too tight"?

Mix-A-Lot is a Seattle legend. (But still a legend, IMO)

His Inside Out album was pretty good. It had some good songs on like luv n happiness.
Does anyone have any info on his Family Affair album that was released in 1998. Its very rare stuff. It has Unconditional love amongst other songs that he redid.

Just read they're going to make a reality TV series about/with him called Hammertime and yeah, regardless of his style of music I'd call him a west coast legend.
