Yea, Tha Realest was born in Dallas, Texas but lives in California for many years now. He reps the West Coast in most of his songs and it ain't about his voice dude. Just check out some of his songs like "2 Live & Die 4 Tha Westside", "West Coast" etc - he's rappin' about the West in almost every song.
Say what you say but Tha Realest has been representing the West Coast to the fullest since his Death Row dayz... that's why people label him "West Coast".

A lot of rappers that rep the westcoast are actually from other places but moved to the west when they were younger and have repped it since a few well known ones are Kurupt, Xzibit and off course 2Pac

The Realest ain't West Coast... thats like Common claiming NY because he live there now... Realest aint spent no time of his childhood in L.A., he moved there after he signed to Death Row...
Kurupt - moved to L.A. before he became a famous rapper, so he can be considered West Coast, repped the West Coast from the first album he was ever on.
2Pac - moved to Marin City when he was 16, represented Oakland since 2Pacolypse Now, NEVER mentioned New York roots once until his third album. If you were actually listening to Pac in '91-'93 you would think he was born and raised in Oakland cause thats all he talked about in his music.
Xzibit - lived in L.A. for many years before dropping
Snoop Doggy Dogg - Born in California for the morons that believe these internet rumors that he was from Mississippi, his family is from Miss. you fuckin' idiots, but he was born and raised in Long Beach.
The D.O.C. - NEVER claimed West Coast, always claimed Dallas in interviews and in his music. He is West Coast by affiliation with NWA, Death Row, etc.

Yeah...but the D.O.C. Never EVER claimed West Coast. Fans only considered him West Coast cause of his relation to N.W.A and him being on Death Row. He never claimed west. Realest moved out to the west after being signed.
