London has launched an audacious bid to stage the Super Bowl within the next eight years, a move that would see the United States' biggest sporting event played overseas for the first time, the Sunday Telegraph has reported.
that shit better not happen, the SuperBowl should ALWAYS be hosted in the US, esspecially since people in London knock the game of football & think soccer is better & that the whole fanbase & every team is in America lol.
would be a retarded move for the NFL.

Over 1 billion people watch the superbowl and by my estimations America has between 250 to 300 million people living in it. so to post a comment saying that there is very few people who give a damn about the NFL outside of America is nonsense.

maybe it is a bit ignorant. i'm English, i have watched portions of the Superbowl before but never took any further interest in the sport. I don't know anyone who follows NFL.

The thing is that euros will sell out for the regular season game that's in there. Which needs 2 stop. Cause they didn't want NFL Europe, it ain't the main stars playing :'( Put the pro bowl there instead, better yet get rid of the played out pro bowl. If they gon put it in London, they can put the SB in Pasadena, they can get rid of the stupid rule that the SB has to be in a city that has a team. Besides, most socal's favorite team is whoever wins the SB anyway.

The game would have to be played at 11PM London Time. The NFL should just do what's best for their business, like every decision they make. The game is played in a neutral area anyway. Who gives a shit if you're from the United States, England, Australia, Canada, Mexico....just enjoy what you enjoy. If anything, this gives bragging rights to the american football side of the debate. There will never be talks of the UEFA Champions League Final to be played in NYC lol.

That's a global event though with countries competing from this side of the globe. The UEFA Champions Final is strictly European.

Nah, its AVAILABLE to 1 billion people worldwide, that doesn't mean 1 billion people are watching it.
The highest worldwide rating ANY sporting event has ever recorded was World Cup 2006, and that didn't even have 1 billion people watching it.
