B.O.S.S. is dropping first quarter 2010.
"Mr. Pig Face Weapon Waste EP" - July
"Slaughterhouse" - August
"Group Therapy" - Fall/Winter
-
Crooked I is the best rapper alive, doesn't matter if he drops an album, the HUNDREDS of songs he's done without a wack verse proves it

I think Crooked oughta just stick to dropping solo EP's instead of trying to release that full-length LP. So far he's 1 for 1 when it comes to dropping EP's on time since Block Obama II came out on the actual date he said it would. LOL!!

So does that mean "B.O.S.S." is back to being the title of his first official album? And if so, do you know if he still intends to drop the tracks he recorded for the earlier version?
-
I'm pretty sure B.O.S.S. is still the title...
However, don't quote me on this, because this isn't an "update" it's just hear-say, but I heard a rumor that the version we get will not be the version he's been sitting on for years. The tracks will be updated and modernized.

LMAO @ announcing an album release for 2010, only stupid crooked fans are dumb enough to fall for this shit every time
rememeber when he dropped that wack ass Akon single and it flopped harder that TWA Flight 800

Yeah. I figured even if he had decided to still use the title "B.O.S.S." it would still have much more recently recorded material on it. This makes me wonder what will happen to the old unreleased "B.O.S.S." tracks (the ones he was going to drop for free). I wonder if they'll still be given away online at some point, or if he'll just use them for a later project.
-
what do you mean years?
has he even been workin on this for years?

Yes, he has been working on B.O.S.S. for a very long time.
It's "finished", but never really finished you feel me? He just keeps adding and removing tracks to keep it fresh.

as usual, ANIOTHER hater post by Long Beach in a crooked i thread - what a shock! :-\
and EFfex, why is Crook so scared to just release it? lol hes been off the row for 4 years by now
-
Hopefully, Crooked will be remembered as one of the dopest to ever come up from the West Coast. I'd love to see Slaughterhouse get huge and then each of them build a legitimate mainstream career from Slaughterhouse popularity. Not that I care about their finances. I just think they all deserve success and the ability to release more music.
-

This topic really needs a whole forum of it's own, LOL. I'm not so sure he's "scared", but I think Crooked is really the only person who can answer this question.
To be honest, I think he's waiting on the "perfect" time, but to be honest the perfect time passed several times. When "Boom Boom Clap" was out was a good time. After "Hip Hop Weekly" would have been nice too, but I think he'll be in a good place after Slaughterhouse drops. This is probably the most attention he's had yet.

You know the one that capitalizes off his popularity and makes him the most money!!!
I'm glad he didn't get big yet or we wouldn't have this humble MC that we have today. Lyrically he shits on his past self. I listened to this leak, if it's real, and it isn't anything spectacular.

ITS NOT REAL

Oh, word? I didn't take the time to read up on it. Thanks for the info. I still think that the Crooked-I of today > Crooked-I of the past. He's like wine, he only gets better as he ages. Pause. Not many artists can say that.
-
Crooked I is a loser and the weakest in Slaughter House. lol I still cant believe these guys formed a group. I mean there all dope but there all overlooked for one reason or another. Crooked I is dope but hes not marketable look at that face. what 16 year old girl is going to be able to sleep with a Crooked I poster in her room?
Joel Ortiz looks mechanic from the Bronx.
Royce looks like a child molester.
Joe Budden is the only one I think can make it. Good flow and he is personable.
Crooked I has monkey face hes not going anywhere

Thats some true shit. Crooked will go down as one of the most lyrical to ever come out the west, no doubt.

agreed!!
ill admit though, the "This nigga's never going broke again, picture me poor" verse from the Wake Up Show is still Crook's best verse
-
The perfect time has passed plenty of times. I disagree with this being the most attention he's ever had..... He had a lot of attention in 2001 - 2003, which I'd say he had the most attention he's ever had. He had a massive billboard in Beverly Hills, and was featured on proper commercial releases going gold, as well as collaborating with Murder Inc who were huge and all over TV/Radio at the time. He was more anticipated back then than he is now, or ever will be IMO.
No offence, but the more and more mixtapes that come out, do nothing to further my interest in Crooked I.. A lot of his "intended" album tracks now sound like watered down current rap with above average lyrics, or sound like simple mixtape tracks. I listen to the Say Hi To The Bad Guy E.P. that I "purchased", and hear how more Raw, and hard he was... Don't get me wrong, Crooked I is dope, and he spits fire, but he's lost the formula required to make good music. I hate having to listen to a "C.O.B., Circle of Bosses, Long Beach N***, and a whole load of other shout outs" before and after each verse over some 80's sped up sample. He can drop as many mixtapes as he likes but interest has certainly declined, and if any has upped a few heads it's because of the recent Say Hi To The Bad Guy leak and has nothing to do with the Block Obama
-
He should drop some mixtape thru iTunes with some BOSS leftovers to keep people interested into hearing that shit... I love Crook's music but I'm gonna be real with y'all - I haven't checked for his solo shit after that "I'm Still A MC" dropped... He's a dope MC but business-wise dude's lost in space - he don't know if he wants to still rolling out with this BOSS shit or just record another new album with fresh ideas...
-
I haven't checked for his solo shit after that "I'm Still A MC" dropped...
Yeah, that's the last song i heard too before i checked out "If You Ever Hear Me", now that's a MONSTER :o

well he's got the SLAUGHTERHOUSE right now
once they drop we can go back to bitching aobut Boss
-
Crooked I is a monster, I was hearing his unreleased album (Sah Hi To The Bag Guy) Shit is Crazy....
I wonder can I post the album here...!!!???!!!
-
Crooked I is going to fall into the same category as the likes of Papoose or Cyserro with all these freestyle mixtape avenues. When Death Row marketed him, he was more colorful
Untouchable > BOSS music
-
Untouchable > BOSS music
That I won't argue with, but since I have yet to hear either one I'm still working off assumptions.

That was a very gay post. Eat a dick asshole!
-
When did colorful become sex symbol?
I simply meant that he was more dynamic, he was fun and interesting to listen to. Whilst on Death Row, he was Raw, and hungry, and in 2000 - rapped in a style that many admired, which created the fan base he has with him today!!!
Back then his promotion was appearing on the Too Gangsta 4 radio compilation, and then on The Dogg Pound 2002. They released the WestCostanostra mixtape and had thousands at the time anticipating the release of Say Hi To The Bad Guy. People were glad to see him collaborating with mainstream Murder Inc at the time, because he was about to blow up in a good way, with good sound.
With the Mamas Boy got a loaded gun album after Death Row, people still anticipated that, but not long after the continious releases of current electronica-style mixtapes, and his attempts at commercial single releases, left many longing for his older more sought after work. And with the constant delays, and releases of albums scraps and mixtapes, it doesn't in no way IMO compare to his Death Row material, which leads me to believe that he simply can't at current time release a HOT album (in our eyes) and we're seeing evidence of it
Don't get me wrong. I think Crooked I is a hot rapper, and some of his current raps are unbelievable, but musically, he's just not that interesting compared to his old Death Row days. I don't know if many will agree, but when I hear that "Block Obama 2" mixtape is out soon, and all these people are getting hyped about it - I just don't feel that interested in it To be honest, or anything that is scheduled, because the assisted promotion that is combined with his album just doesn't get me that hyped to want to go out and purchase the BOSS album... If he were to come out and say that he is releasing the Untouchable album remastered in August with 16 tracks, I'd pre-order immediately because the promotion and track leaks that combined with this album displayed huge magnitude, and generated huge interest. I'd buy it for all the right reasons. Until Crooked I releases a worthy EP of solid album worthy tracks, he wont get my purchase of BOSS. I hate it though, because I'm a Crooked I fan, and want him to blow up as much as the next man, but being honest, he's just not that interesting
-
Block Obama 2 was fire
"american me" is deep as fuck
-
i feel what your sayin and its crazy cuz hes mad talented
but then goin outta his way and complainin or makin it seem likes hes jealous and gettin at snoop was a bad look
that mad him look desperate when in fact snoop should want his "lyrical" input nowadays (he might have gotten crookeds help at one time on writin etc...)
but many underground rappers have gon onto shine on a underground level (planet asia, tech n9ne, boot camp click etc...)
so why not crooked?

you a homo? i dont think slaughterhouse are going for the 13 -16 yearold girls market, i dont check rappers to see how pretty they are im for the music. Straight queer you are.
-
crooked made 100 of songs for different albums name titles since 2004 Mommas Boy Gotta Loaded Gun, Mommas Boy, Boss,Boss Music,B.O.S.S, those albums had good inhouse production and guest producers like Scott Storch, Rick Rock that are old news today, but recently Slaughterhouse came up, now Crooked I is working with producers like Khalil, Alchemist,King Tech, i heard theres even a rumor about Dj Premier, so i guess that means new shape for BOSS album with songs produced by them.
-
Will slaughterhouse ever drop an album? Budden and Royce are nice too.
-
It's funny how people say that Crooked reached his peak on Death Row, when he's a lot more well known now then when he was on Death Row. His fan base has more than doubled.
-

Of course they will drop an album.
The release date is August 11th on E1 (Koch Records), they are filming the video for their lead single titled "Number 1" which is produced by DJ Khalil tomorrow.
-
its kinda sad he hasnt dropped an album.

Crooked I was, is, and always will be a gifted writer and rapper, however I believe his stance as a commercial rap figure have faded, and is past his peak in that sense of the word (peaked). & nevertheless, is that a substitute for appeal? On how many fans he has? Lil Waynes fan base has more than doubled, but has his talent increased? Say Hi To The Bad Guy had the professionally qualified expectations of going Gold in the industry, I doubt the same can be said for B.O.S.S. mainly down to the fact that he doesn't carry himself as the colorfully energetic star he did on Tha Row. This is just my opinion though!!! He was somewhat a rebellious Westcoast/Hollywood rapper who stemmed from the likes C-Style & DPG, and grabbed my concentration a hell of a lot easier than he does now... I loved the Hip Hop weekly raps, and sat and loved the wordplay & methaphors he used, but it's done nothing to enhance my interest, and I feel this is going to be a wishy-washy modern Hip-Pop sound. Hopefully the release can kill these thoughts
-
Oh by the way guys the video shoot tomorrow is for the song "Not Tonight" by Street Runner, but "Number 1" is a single as well. Sorry for the confusion.
-
Any concepts for the full video?
-
They are keeping that under wraps, only thing we know it's being filmed in New York, but that doesn't mean anything. Heard it's got a pretty decent budget though.
