Title: more realistic Say Hi To Tha Bad Guy Bootleg tracklist.....
Post by: Darksider on December 15, 2009, 09:10:56 AM
most crook "deathrow/mostly say hi"   bootlegs sounds more like compilations...so i tried to make a more realistic sounding  tracklist ..like a real and  well balanced SOLO album in best row tradition with most of the tracks avaiable (inspired by daz Retaliation tracklist) which is not easy with all the features, ray j hooks, hardcore tracks like take the title etc

  1.) Intro
  2.) So Damn Hood
  3.) Bitch
  4.) Do it again
  5.) Take the Title
  6.) Hoodstar
  7.) Suges West Coast
  8.) I'm so crooked
  9.) Still Tha Row
10.) Lil Youngstaz
11.) I Shoulda Made You My Wife
12.) House Party
13.) The B side
14.) It's Personal
15.) Dollars in My Hand
16.) Live At Tha Row
17.) Me and My Doggs
18.) Outro

Hidden bonus track: catchin feelings remix

Intro: fantastic four freestyle
outro: tharow.dot com

Ps: for all who dont understand the point of the thread...its ok
sorry for not providing audio ...i accidently deleted everything after i burned it...but yall got the tracks anyway
if somebody wants to make a cover for this...you shouldnt post the features on tha back because its still alot and looks cheap and deathrow never really did this.

"realistic" tracklistings wont include 2 radio drops, and dysfunktional family soundtrack song, and a mike tyson dedication for a fight lol

I put together my own mix of "Say Hit to the Bad Guy" tracks to listen to.  Here's the track list for mine...

1. I'm So Crooked
2. Boss Me Up
3. So Damn Hood (OG-Solo)
4. Do It Again
5. Lil Youngstaz
6. Bitch
7. Hoodstar
8. It's Personal
9. La La
10. Who Wants To Fuck Tonight (OG)
11. So Damn Hood (Darren Vegas Remix)
12. Take the Title
13. Suge's West Coast
14. Live at the Row
15. House Party
16. Shoulda Made You My Wife
17. Me and My Dogg
18. Frontline

And yeah, I realize "Take the Title" wouldn't actually be on the official "Say Hi to the Bad Guy."  And they probably wouldn't have put 2 versions of "So Damn Hood" on it either.  Also, "Who Wants To Fuck OG probably wouldn't be on it, since the version with Danny Boy ended up on "Dysfunktional Family (although it was originally recorded for "Say Hi to the Bad Guy").  But overall I think the tracks sound pretty good, compiled this way.  And I took out a couple of the tracks that were obviously not "Say Hi to the Bad Guy" sessions like "Dollaz in My Hand" and "Gangsta Rap."

Yeah.  No one really knows for sure what those tracks were for. Because it's never been confirmed what those tracks were for, it's just as much speculation that "Frontline" and "Boss Me Up" are Kurupt tracks as it is to say that they're Crooked I tracks.  No one knows what project they would've ended up on.  The same can be said for "La La."  Saying it's an Eastwood track, is a logical conclusion to draw from the perspective that it does contain more Eastwood verses than Crooked I verses.  But on the other hand, "La La" not only appeared on the FTP version of "Say Hi to the Bad Guy," but also on the Los Skanless version which was taken from cds straight from Suge Knight's briefcase.  And I believe that all the other tracks on those disks were from "Say Hi to the Bad Guy."  So you could infer that "La La" was also intended for that album, at least at one point.
I'm not saying that it's not possible that those tracks could have been meant for something else.  I'm just saying that it's not really known.  Personally, the main reason I added "Frontline" was just because I really like the track.

the los skanless version of SHTTBG is the finished product of the first version of that album, that cd was handed to suge by crooked so suge could review the appeal it would have in the market at that time. obviously that version of the album wasn't commercial enough for suge so he scrapped that album & crooked went in and did a second version of it with more commercial appeal....

yes La La was meant for SHTTBG, suge actually wanted to do a duo album with crooked & eastwood as well. that track was a taste of that supposed album, eastwood was next in line after crooked of course...

Yeah, in my opinion this is pretty much as close as your going to get to a Say Hi To The Bad Guy track list (at least the first version).

Anyway, there's a more tracks that we know about. As a lot of people know, Suge made them go back and add additional features to the album as well. An obvious example was them adding Sisqo to "So Damn Hood".

Yeah.  At least with "Say Hi to the Bad Guy," we have pretty good idea of what the track list was.  It would be interesting to find out what the track list for "Untouchable" was going to be.

Oh, okay.  I wasn't aware of that.  That's a pretty good argument.  If they are in fact, Kurupt tracks, I wonder what project they were for.  Against the Grain? Or maybe for use on a compilation or something?

Naw not Against The Grain because the recording dates for those tracks are 04. Boss Me Up and Frontline were recorded 1/3/02, same day as I'm Back. All the leaked Say Hi To Bad Guy tracks were recorded in 02.

Oh, okay.  Maybe they weren't sure what they were going to use the tracks for, at the time they were recorded.  At any rate, thanks for the info.

If you think about it though, it's possible that those songs were for an earlier recording of Against Tha Grain being that it was supposed to originally come out in 2004. It's only logical that between '02 and '04 that he would be recording for this project, no?

I follow the logic but I'm thinking the '02 tracks started as something else but that's just my opinion though.

No doubt, I hear that. I'm just tossing ideas around that's all.

Wassup Inmate, haven't seen you post in a while. Where you been at?
nothing special..just watching the death row show
btw you should try my tracklist if you are interested in a crook album that doesnt sound like a eastwood solo, a annoying ray j album, a underground cd or some average westcoast album...you only need some very little fantasy with the intro and some other things and you get a professional deathrow album  with the right structure and quality that EVERYBODY would like
burn it and show it one of your homeboys...he will love it

The Tyson Song, "Take the Title" has leaked in full.  It was on FTP's Crooked I project.  It's not the same track as "The Slap Back."

you guys think im joking??? ;D 8)

all this is a mix between my ideas and daz dillingers REtaliation album tracklist
a few rulez for the tracklist and structure

-never 2 feature tracks after each other

-never 2 ray j songs after each other

-around every rayj track a song with a female or different singer(Sisquo)

-the beginning of the album has to be powerfull, fresh and cool solo material but not too hardcore or underground

-tracks 3 and 4 are more relaxed songs with some little emotion and reality touch (4)

-take the title got a great hardcore beat but sounds the best when its surrounded by different styles

-6 and 7 should be commercial party tracks

-8 and 9 gangsta songs

-10 and 11 emotional.....10 a more westcoast song while 11 a woman track

-12 another relaxed track

-the last track should be emotional followed by a gangsta outro thats too agressive for the beginning

I like your rules.  They seem like good ones.  Unfortunately, it seems like you put more thought into this than Suge Knight did. lol  For some reason, he put some combination of Ray J, Eastwood, Gangsta Girl, Gangxta Ridd, or Kurupt on almost every track that's leaked.  And while I'm sure that all of them wouldn't have appeared on every track of the final version of "Say Hi to the Bad Guy,"  had it ever been released, it's difficult to arrange the tracks in the kind of order you're talking about, when the only tracks we have to work with, mostly include these kind of features.

Well, the OG version of the "Against Tha Grain" album was supposed to come out in 2002 under the name "Back In Lane". I don't know if that's 100% true but that's what I've heard..

i feel you ..it hurts to leave out lala and a few others....but my tracklist is so perfect 8) that i can forget about that!!
Its not just a million rules...its that every song is where it should be and still following the rulez

Its not a coincidence that the very good but more unspectular party tracks "Hoodstar and Suges west coast" are not at the very beginning (buT right after that where i need them)
....the first 5 tracks got more Power and make you feel liike you listen to a Dr Dre album
Its not a coincidence that Still tha Row is in the middle of the album AFTER the super gangsta track "Im So Crooked"
Its not a coincidence that super gangsta track "im So Crooked" IS after the more unspectular party tracks
Take the Title sounds perfect between 2 more positive tracks

i could go on and on

1.) Intro
  2.) So Damn Hood
  3.) Bitch
  4.) Do it again
  5.) Take the Title
  6.) Hoodstar
  7.) Suges West Coast
  8.) I'm so crooked
  9.) Still Tha Row
10.) Lil Youngstaz
11.) I Shoulda Made You My Wife
12.) House Party
13.) The B side
14.) It's Personal
15.) Dollars in My Hand
16.) Live At Tha Row
17.) Me and My Doggs
18.) Outro
