In the making the last few days, the news came down heavy on an April Fools day that thaOutlawz, as we know it....after the Perfect Timing Album will be done, as the group announces it retirement from this music business. This shocking move will end the historic run this group has had since the 90's. Who can we blame? Well one thing is for sure. You can blame the music industry, and the lack of support, and the lack is buzz the mainstream has given this group. We all know this music business is a cold game, and the sad thing about it is.......The hiphop culture has never given the amount of respect this group has deserved. I've been struggling to maintain a sense of media respect by not announcing this once i heard about this a few days ago. I just know from this media personality standpoint....this group will be one of the top 5 in music history hands down. So all you outlaw culture heads......i wanna thank you for the amount of time you put into this radio segment every friday. But after tonight......there will also be no more OUTLAW CULTURE RADIO on Friday nights anymore. I mean how can i? One of the greatest groups ever, signed off.....so this show will do the same.
Thank you all

i always liked the Outlawz..
they always had a great workethic wit projects droppin all teh time.
if the guys r pisssed off cuz of the lack of support, maybe they can blame themselves..
its called "marketing", how the hell r ppl supposed to kno about ur shit?
i never heard about any new Outlaw-music, unless i searhced for it myself..
grind, goddamit.
still the news kinda sucks
im sure Hussein Fatal will be around tho? Thugtertainment?

"SORRY TO ENFORM YALL BUT I HAD A LONG MEETING WITH Hussein Fatal & YOUNG NOBLE TODAY & WE DECIDED THAT THIS NEW ALBUM PERFECT TIMING WILL BE THAT LAST OFFICIAL OUTLAWZ ALBUM WITH US AS A GROUP! THE BRAND OF REAL MUSIC WE MAKE IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED IN THIS INDUSTRY THE WAY IT SHOULD BE SO WE GONNA RETIRE THE OUTLAW NAME! WE LOVE YALL AN THANX 4 ALL THESE YEARS OF SUPPORT!"
-
horrible production and relying on 2pacs name, thats why their albums dont sell.

This. These niggas were responsible for half of Pac's tracks being filler. Someone needs to go through 7 Day Theory and All Eyez on Me, remove all the Outlawz verses and replace them with decent guest features.
-
I was looking forward to hearing their project with young buck, the hi tek tracks he had them on were dope
-
Almost everything they have dropped has been dope..
Novakane, neva surrenda, ride wit us or collide wit us, blood brothers, outlawz 4 life, against all odds, born legendary, fatal, in the line of fire, noble justice, soldier 2 soldier, thug in thug out.. and the list goes on..
Perfect timing will be good i know it.. good feutures too.. and hopefully fatal will continue on his own.. and drop still legendary one day!
peace

I guess they got tired of sucking Tupac's dead dick and decided to finally move on with their lives.

Sad news.
Outlaw 4 Life was their last album I really enjoyed a lot. After that a lot of it was hit or miss, but I look forward to their upcoming album and their solo music.

TRUE! I used to be a fan, Fatal was really talented, but in the last 15 years they never found their way, never found a producer who believed in them and gave em some decent beats.
-
Long overdue
They should have quit in 2001/2002

Def a sad news - I enjoyed some of their post-2Pac stuff although their albums were very inconsistent with too many filler tracks on each cd. I wonder why they never go back to Johnny 'J' for some beats - and Outlawz album produced by Johnny 'J' would've been a classic 8)
-
The outlaws suck. Only way I ever wouldve purchased an outlaw album is if the outlaws were pac, fatal, and kadafi.
-
oh man thats a shame...1 of my fave groups too. id say in some track id prefer them over 2pac...its a shame...maybe ther goin to practice more into ther religion also
-
thats must be a april fooll...i cant beliefe that news....no other rap group/artist has such a close relationship with their fans, than the lawz do.
im really suprised from all the hate on this board @ the outlawz
-
It's not hate, it's just the truth. And the truth is that the majority didn't even bother to look out for any new Outlawz material or albums due to their previous ones, which were a let down
Fatal released In The Line of Fire, and that album was good IMO. The remaining 4 Outlawz released Ride wit us Or Collide Wit us, and it was nothing like I had expected or waited for. It had a few good tracks, but too many fillers, and overall was a big disappointment, with weak production for the most part, and a lot of basic lyrics with no fire like they had on Death Row under 2Pac. Novakane however had better production on it, and less fillers, but the lyrics again were basic, and seemed sloppier than the previous attempt. Couple that with the replaced watered down verses on Until The End of Time & Better Dayz showed the public that they weren't as good as they once were. More mixtapes, songs, and albums later with dull production on it, lazy flows and so on put the nail on the coffin for them.
A lot of hardcore Outlaw fans still stuck with them though, and they continued to put out material, and made some decent moves individually or as a group. Napoleon done his thug scriptures album with Johnny J, but again, the lyrics were just so weak, and basic with little passion in them that made that a let down, as anyone else with agree who's heard it. Even some of the production sounded too pop, and softly computerized unlike his other production work
They went through their career getting sloppier in their raps, all the while continually dragging 2Pacs name into all their tracks, albums, and promotion, tours etc. I think they tried to live off his name too much to make up for their lack of talent.
-
the only think i agree with u is, that they used pacs name to much, for example "Spirit Pac Tour in Australia" or what ever they called their Tours. But in my opionion all they albums were tight. i honestly cant name much rappers, that spit shit like the laws. nowadays all u hear is bling bling, bitches here bitches there, fast cars etc type of lyrics, the lawz never did shit like that. they were always down to earth, spitting real lyrics.
I can bumb any of the outlawz cds i want and i have a good feeling while listen to it, because im tired of that souljah boy shit. there is no one in the game down to earth and connected to their fans as much as the outlawz in the game.
i would really hate to see them leave the game, but what can i do they are doing this shit for more that 16 years, and they never get that what they have deserved. its their choice and i have to axcept it. its a shame tho i cant even imagine what they would have become if pac diddnt die.
-
word!!
Some of the ppl here havent heard their albums besides novakane and ride wit us or collide wit us..
If ppl here wasnt so closeminded and tried to listen to their other stuff, they would realize that the lawz are better than MANY of the west coast rappers..
most rappers from the west fell the fuck off.. outlawz dropped 2-3 not-so-good albums, but they still got lots of dope shit!!
outlawz4life!!

some people on here tend to say forever that an artist fell off if they drop a few weak songs or go through a creatively unispired period
let's face the facts, it's hard to name one seasoned artist who hasn't dropped a weak album or some weak songs yet
but just because an artist is weak on some songs doesn't mean he'll be weak forever
or that he can't do a dope song anymore
ya'll remember in 1998 when snoop dropped his first no limit album
alot of snoop fans said he fell off at that point and stopped listening to him
but after that he came with No Limit Top Dogg and Last Meal which were both better
and in my opinion he did a bunch of good songs in the years after that
artist's careers have ups and downs, that's just the way it is
being one of the few guys who have actually listened to 90% of the oulawz songs
I gotta say that I can't see a huge quality difference between their catalog and the catalog of other west coast artists
there are some good songs, alot of OK songs and some weak songs
-
^^ Thank you!
-
The Outlawz are a solid group. I've enjoyed their work but they've been kind of struggling to find their niche without Pac since his death. Things like Khadafi's death, no Fatal on their first bunch of albums, and Napoleon retiring were all setbacks in themselves. They had big shoes to fill in the sense that they were a group created by Pac that no longer had his presence or guidance and people were used to that. Of all their albums I've heard with the Outlawz name on them, none of them to me were wack but they didn't have a strong way to sell them to the public.

What are you smoking? Them niggaz were never on in the first place.

What are you smoking? Them niggaz were never on in the first place.
no sir, I decide for myself what I like and what I don't
if you spend half the time you use to troll in threads of artists you don't like
you would have enough time to remove all the oulaw verses from half of pac's tracks yourself
that would make them listenable even for you
-
I agree, The Outlawz get a lot of unnecessary hate. The production has let them down a bit on some of there albums but they still spit those real lyrics.

I love Pac, that's why I'm commenting on this thread. It saddens me that one of the greats had second-rate rappers all over his songs. To most people, including myself, the Outlawz were nothing more than filler that Pac used when he didn't want to do an entire song by himself.

this has to be one of the stupiest things ive ever read on this forum
pac created the outlawz, gave them their names and introduced them into the game....he had a plan with them and if hed not died they would be be hugh.
i cant believe u said something like they cant rap...i bet u r so pac fanatic that u dont even listen to their verses on pac songs. they were tight from the beginning and they fit perfectly to each other, exspecially with pac.

File this under 'things I don't personally like = filler'
-
Smh at some peeps getting offended by other peoples opinions...people on this board need to chill the fuck out and respect that we arent all gonna agree...
with that being said ive never been an outlawz fan, to me they never had any appeal as individuals, more like a group of hype men for pac...his death killed the groups relevance imo...so i say if they are struggling to keep going theyre doing the right thing

how can you be a pac fan if you don't like half of his music, have you thought about that maybe you don't even like pac
why the fuck do you think I care about your strange views that you pass of as being the opinion of "most" people
and stop quoting me, go troll somebody else
-
So if this shit real or no ?
any 'official' link on that ?

I said "most people" because the Outlawz have never been commercially successful on their own without Pac. You were talking about artists falling off and I was pointing out that the Outlawz were never on in the first place.
I never said I don't like half of Pac's music so don't make up words and put them in my mouth. If you can make posts praising the outlawz then I can make posts saying they were second-rate rappers. Its called forum discussion and disagreement. Wtf is the point of a forum if everyone is saying the same shit? You don't like it you don't have to partake.

personally I don't care about commercial success
that's not part of my decision making
I told you I think for myself
they were successful when they were with pac, they were "on" then
so I still don't understand you're argument
what was wrong with my opinion?
there is a difference between a discussion and trolling
you posted twice in this thread stating your opinion
so it was clear what you was thinking about this
I didn't reply to you but when I stated my opinion
you felt the need to quote me and suggest that I'm crazy
I thought that was a little offensive
so from that point on it was clear to me that you wasn't discussing
you were trying to badmouth my opinion
I never praised the outlawz, that's an exaggeration on your part
I just don't hate them and don't think they ruined pac's career (which is a strange view in my opinion)
you on the other hand were saying that pac used these guys as fillers for his songs
it was pac's decision to put these guys on his songs, that was what he wanted it to be
so my point about you not liking pac's music isn't exactly "made up"
-
I think Pac dying had an impact on his career. That really finished it off.
Not trying to be controversial or anything!
-
So if this shit real or no ?
any 'official' link on that ?
theres the 2 hour long outlawz culture radio show on http://outlawz-immortalz.blogspot.com/ (http://outlawz-immortalz.blogspot.com/) which explains the situation pretty good (EDI and Noble answering questions etc), its a great listen
-
I think Pac dying had an impact on his career. That really finished it off.

i dont think ur controversial.
but outlawz is a group tho, not a person
-
don't think they ruined pac's career (which is a strange view in my opinion)
Meant to quote that^^

The Outlawz were never on. Pac was on and they were featured on some of his songs. That's a big difference. To be on they would have to release successful material on their own.

You're welcome to your opinion and I wasn't even speaking on that in my first response to you. The Outlawz were never successful on their own from a commercial standpoint so they never fell off since they were never on in the first place. I don't think that's opinion, that's just looking at their career.
If you were speaking on your opinion on the quality of their music that's another thing. But when people talk about falling off they almost always mean commercially. And frankly you've made as many posts as I have so if I'm trolling so are you.
I never praised the outlawz, that's an exaggeration on your part

I never said I didn't like Pac's music, so yes you are making that up. I love Pac's music. However, for every track featuring the Outlawz I find myself wishing there was another Pac verse instead. Filler doesn't make a song horrible, it just makes it not as great as it could have been. You're backing yourself into a corner by sounding really silly trying to tell me how I feel about Pac's music based on what I've said about the Outlawz. Are you implying they defined his music?
-

I already explained to you that commercial success is not part of my decision making
so it is clear that I wasn't talking about commercial success
I was refering to their music not their business, sales or popularity
And frankly you've made as many posts as I have so if I'm trolling so are you.
trolling has nothing to do with the amount of posts in a thread
you should look up what trolling means
since you was responding to me in a provocative way
and all you was talking about was something I didn't refer to (commercial success)
I think it's correct that I can say you were trolling me
I never said I didn't like Pac's music, so yes you are making that up. I love Pac's music. However, for every track featuring the Outlawz I find myself wishing there was another Pac verse instead. to me pac's music is more than just his vocals
the beats he picked, the artists he wanted to be on his tracks
all that is part of pac's music to me
does it really sound that silly?
Are you implying they defined his music?
now you sound silly
it's more the other way around
pac defined their music

Did The Outlawz ever sign to Young Buck's label ?
-
The world just got a lot less real.

They should've retired after that Pac & Outlawz cd. They used Pac as a crutch.

I dont think they signed, cuz Buck's so called label wasnt shit since he was under 50..
But they relased that cashville takover mixtape together..

The music industry is pretty fucked up right now and has been album sales suck! Im from the 90's an the rap game was more about lyrics etc...
now days theres very few that can spit its all about creating a song for the radio with catchy hooks or dances. prepare for a lot more
artists from the 90's to retire in the next few years theres no damn money to be made for them anymore sucks bigtime but
thats whats happening as you can see the Outlawz retiring too. There will be more to come im sure of it not enough record sales, not enough
fans that go to there shows etc... takes money to promote there new albums as well for videos, posters etc....they dont make enough
money to cover all expenses plus profit gets to be a hastle if anything. Hopefull the Outlawz will put out solo albums sometime there really talented and can write some meaningful lyrics
-
the soldiers .. outlwaz .. thug life .. never die .. never retire .. your music is eternal

Thank God, the wackest group in music history. They damn near ruined numerous 2pac tracks
-
Honestly the outlawz should just be napoleon (i wish), fatal, and kastro with some great production behind them. I didn't like alot of their songs because of the production.
-
don't tease me like this, outlawz really done?
please God let this be true
-
Thought they retired when 2Pac died
