Dilla was a better beatmaker imo,
but as a "producer" - Dre is far superior

anyone who was into "conscious rap" in he 90s and early 00's this guy was god status then he (and quest love) became the poster child of the short lived neo soul movement....he moved in different circles then alot of his contemporaries and thats why it seems like when he passed then everyone start bandwagoning him.

Post by: ABN on July 22, 2011, 04:05:58 AM: he was a great producer but he doesn´t have a SOC, No One Can Do It Better, The Chronic, Doyggstyle, Efil4zaggin or 2001 so he´s definently not a better producer then Dre. being a great producer is your ability to produce great work, and in that aspect Dre is the most superior rap producer of all time because there is not 1 hip hop producer that comes close when you count uo the classic albums that they´ve produced from front to back. but Dilla was definently a lot better then the average hip hop producer.
