Title: Clippers win 107-100 over the Miami Heat
Post by: The_Ripper on November 14, 2012, 10:35:55 PM
Eight games into a season is far too early for a statement, but the Clippers’ came about as close as a team can to making one Wednesday night.

They grappled with the Miami Heat for the better part of three quarters, before Chris Paul scored 13 points in the final 3:21 of the third to put L.A. up for good.

The Clippers pulled away in the fourth quarter to win their fourth game in a row, 107-100, in a raucous atmosphere at Staples Center.

The Clippers moved to 6-2 on the year with wins over the Grizzlies, Spurs, Lakers and now the defending champions.
Paul finished with 16 points and 10 assists, Jamal Crawford had a team-high 22 points off the bench, and Blake Griffin added his most dominant game of the season, going for 20 points, 14 board and six assists in 30 minutes.

Griffin went 8-for-16 from the field, including four jumpers from beyond 16 feet.

LeBron James a game-high 30 for Miami, but Heat failed to keep pace with the Clippers’ bench in the fourth. After grabbing an 11-point lead entering the final frame, the five-man unit extended the lead to as large as 20 points with James and superstar Dwyane Wade on the floor for the majority of the run.

Clippers are becoming the closest thing I've had to a Western conference team to root for

1-they are the Lakers cross-town rivals

2-they have the second best point guard right now (behind Rondo) making them very exciting

3-Blake is a BEAST

4-they got Grant Hill, one of the classiest guys in the league

5-they're the best team in LA :D

Do you root for players based on their level of classiness (cough KG and Rondo)

lmao  Rondo is the best PG in the game (even NIK couldn't resist drafting him in our league)  who cares if he taunts other players?

and of course KG is a effing legend and first ballot HOFer, what's to hate about him?  8)

i also drafted Kobe and Marc Gasol before him....Rondo fell to the 33rd pick. not exactly "best point guard in the league" material.

as a matter of fact, you drafted Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol ahead of Rondo yourself.

1-i did that partly to piss you off

2-the NBA is far deeper in terms of point guards than it is centers so it was a very wise move on my behalf to draft those clowns first

3-i try not to draft my favorite players incase they get injured  (i.e. when i drafted Cano in 2008 or when i drafted Holmes this year)

4-Rondo is the best point guard in the league and ain't nobody close  8)

I just asked because you cited liking Grant Hill because he's classy. If I was a fan of Boston I'd definitely like KG and Rondo, but they're far from "classy".
