Rud messaged me and said there are a few other problems people have reported too..
we're not sure what the host may have done to fix things.. but the forum needs an upgrade and Rud is toying with moving to a different host so probably worth doing it all at the same time
anyone with issues put the info, with a link to the post if needed.. in this post and I'll comment :-)

odd the dr dre one only does it in certain places.. so its not the database ,but a script or browser thing.
forum will get updated at some point, its just when the best moment to do it is
also dont understand why this outage will have affected it
