That would be so cool to see. It would be really hard to come up with a good script, but it would be awesome and a huge hit at the box office. Zelda games are classic. What do you guys think? Who could you see playing Link, Zelda, or even Gannon?
peace

i think it will be dope but on the other hand it would look a bit like a Legolas solo movie i think. zelda looks like that character IMO.
-
no they really shouldnt
video game movies suck. they should stay as games.
-
Actually now that you mention it....thats a horrible idea. They should never make a video game into a movie.
Wait nevermind, Suprer mario with john leguizamo was a 4 star movie.
-
fuck yeah they should i was thinking about that the other day...
-
Yes, I've thought about this before. Zelda is LONG OVERDUE for a movie. It really is a great, great story. They should do it live action, though, no animation.

If they did it live action, people who aren't into video games would probably brush it off as another Lord of the Rings rip-off.
-
They should make a Grand Theft Auto movie that would be killer.
-
^^^
they have, its called every mob movie ever made.

they could have like differnt movies for differnt things like for instance the ocarana of time for n64 here is how the movie could be
Zelda 1 is when he was a kid about gettin all that shit so he can get the master sword and be an adult
zedla 2 could be about him getting the fisrt 2 medlaions
zelda 3 the next 2
zelda 4 next 2
zelda 5 next 2
and then zelda 6 is where Link kicks ganadorfs ass... idk i think it would be a great movie
i mean u would have ur dungeons and bad guys and enemys n shti like that he could get all the items he needs like the boomerang and bow and arow and hookshot n shit like that....

I can see a triligy, with the first one about him as a kid, the second on his quest, and the third the ending. I am suspect on the whole idea though, but being a Zelda fan, I'd watch.

That's not true. The entire fantasy genre isn't represented by the Lord of the Rings. To believe that would be to say that you can never make a fantasy themed movie without ripping them off... or you could never make a horror movie without ripping off Friday the 13th, or never make a comedy without ripping off Police Academy or something. Bullshit.

The first time I saw a Lord of The Rings trailor, I thought it was Zelda lol
-
This movie would have so much potential.
The movie starts in a little village where this little boy is playing and you're introduced to his family, he's about 11.
That night, he has a strange dream about a princess locked up being held captive, and wakes up to find his grandfather missing, and it pouring down the rain. He runs out into the darkness, and heads for the castle nearby... after hiding from the guards, he notices a tunnel off to the side, and a light coming from within. He hurries down, and finds his grandfather lying hurt on the ground, his grandfather gives him a sword, and tells him this story of where the sword came from, who he is, and of this evil wizard named Ganondorph... His grandfather dies, and young link drags the sword behind him on the cobblestone path, only to be discovered by a strange pig creature with a pitchfork looking weapon. The pig starts running at him, and Link, frightened, picks the sword up with both hands, and swings it frantically... the sword glows bright yellow and swings light as a feather in a perfect circle, striking the beast with a loud "skkkkaaaaatttttcccckkkkk"... the beast lets out a muffled scream, as his body vaporizes into a cloud of mist, and dirt, dust, and a small bag fall to the ground. Link opens the bag to find a shimmering red ruby, which he places in his pouch... frightened, he ducks in a back door, to find a huge bridge with another creature walking across, guarding it... mustering all his courage, he sneaks up behind the beast, kills it, stops to grab the green ruby left behind, and the hurries across the bridge. Once across the bridge, he finds a huge stone slab, which has been slid to one side... peeking through, he sees candlelight. He ducks through the crack, and finds himself standing in the back of a sanctuary, with an old priest standing near the pulpit, deep in thought.
Blah ... Blah... Blah Blah Blah. This movie has HUGE potential.

If they did that then cool, but I doubt it. Lord of the Rings is an novel and Zelda is just a video game. They would find some retarded stoned dude to write the story and it would suck.
-
i dont think it would be a good trilogy, because those are getting played out and its too much like lord of the rings. if they made one 2 hour movie which would be a combo of Lord of the rings and Indiana Jones it would be dope. they would have to make it a good story though. peace.
-
naw it would HAVE to be more then atleast 3 movies... i mean look when hes an adult and all the shit he goes through just to save the world...

I'm just making it up as I go along, don't sweat it, lol. There's like 8 different Zelda stories by now.

I lov playin tha games, cant wait for the new realistic one in 2005 , if they made a movie id go c it
-
I dont know about making Zelda into movies , it could easily be a hit or miss matter . It would depend on who wrote the scripts and who directed it . It`s the same thing with voice-acting in zelda games , it could be dope , but it could also ruin our vision of Zelda . Btw , here is a link to the trailer for the new Zelda game to Nintendo Gamecube ( probably the coolest graphics I have ever seen , it looks sooooo awesome ! )

Check that shit out !!!

I say go Ocarina of time -> Wind Waker like when they released wind waker, I love that story but also a link to the past had a bad ass story line too all would make great films
or...
they could do The Legend of Zelda and the Adventures of Link where he must form the triforce.
The cult following of Zelda alone will bring in cash and if it is a good movie tehn its a goldmine franchise.
-

Ya "link to the past" is the best 2D game ever.

i agree with u......and to add to that i think some of the newer verions of the game don't do the og game justice in comparison to what they can do with games today
for instands look at the old ninja gaden gome now look at the new on that's a good remake there a lot of the remakes for zelda was garbage made me think what was the point
any how yah making a movie would be dope if thay do it right
peace

Man, that's crazy. I've never been anything less than thrilled with any zelda game, on any of the oh, 5 systems they've been on! Everyone I've ever played was some of the greatest gaming of all time, in my opinion the weakest of ALL of them was "The Adventures of Link" and it was better than 99% of the games ever made.
-
to me wind waker was garbage...a complete step back for the series
oh and the best 2D game was Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
-
to me wind waker was garbage...a complete step back for the series

The Windwaker was dope, everyone says its bad but for a complete new thing it was the shit, it is the most recent addition to the series and people dont seem to understand that it takes place a hundred or so years in the future, all I hear is, "it wasnt even Link"...No shit dumbass its not supposed to be Link. Only problem I had with the game was the endless sailing, which I started to find to be fun once I started using the charts....but eh...to each his own. I also think that game had one of the best ending fights of any game, even tho u could use the hero charm on him and the hero's shield it was still sick as fuck. If u play it thinking its a new game and not comparing it to any of the old Zelda series you'll like it more....but thats jsu me
I gotta agree on Castlevania SOTN it was the greatest 2D, I had it for a whole year before I started playing 8)
"Adventures of Link" was the weakest of the series Trauma, but it still shits on a lot of the shit coming out now cough*manhunt*cough.
-
I agree,i enjoyed playin windwaker n every other zelda game, i havent found one that i didnt like. Link to tha past was my fav 2d game n one of my fav games of all time

"Legend of Zelda: Link to the past" was the best i ever played while i was still really into video games the new versions of it are so kiddy they i was hoping they would step it up kinda like Lord of the rings stlye i still havn't played the any on wii verison i hear the game play is nice with the wii mote and as a bow and arrow
