If everyone was a snitch the streets would be clean in a matter of months. I don't understand this "snitching" garbage. Chuck D said it best when he commented on "no snitching" being about not ratting out fellow revolutionaries in the 60s and hurt the civil rights cause. It was never supposed to be about protecting losers that sell drugs to kids, or thugs that wouldn't think twice about robbing old ladies and splitting heads.

Good for Randy. It's a step in the right direction for the community as a whole.

well you obviously dont watch the wire. the point of the show is to portray the fact that everything is bigger then you. when they tried to find evidence against marlo, they tore apart the major crimes division, which in turn stopped all wire taps against marlo's crew. the point of not snitching, is doing wut your parents told you to do since you were a kid, and that was not to tell on others. so fuck off u snitch!!!

I'm actually a huge fan of the show and think it's the best on TV right now, maybe ever, but I was talking about snitching in general and snitching over major offenses. I don't know what kind of twisted parents live in your community, but most parents (including Randy's foster mother) would tell you to go to an adult when you something bad happen. If your 4 th grade teacher is molesting another student and you see it wouldn't you tell on the teacher?

To me there is no difference between calling up your thug friends to deal with something and calling the police. In both cases you are going outside your own capabilities to take care somethinng you cannot handle alone.

I asked you a question whether you would tell. I'm not tryingto equate the too offenses but equate the idea behind both of them. The idea is that if we are afraid to expose what is wrong then what is wrong wins. To you vandalizing a school may not be a big thing. To me it is an act of low respect and a path to a mentality of rebellion for the sake of rebellion and personal anarchy. It leads to a downward spiral in life that should be adressed ata young age. Randy could have been doing Rasheed a huge favour and not even know. This could be the beginning of a turn in his life.

I have no respect for revolutionaries that turn on each other and the noble cause to keep themselves out of trouble, but I have no problem with someone like Omar testifying against Bird for killing that witness. People need to know that if you take the law into your own hands and hurt people you will be punished for it, and the people will not let you slide. If you look at the safest countries in thw world they are filled with volunteer witnesses that put society as a whole before any bullshit honor system that has no honor to begin with. Fucking Marlo has that innocent man killed just because he confronted him and asked for a little respect. Marlo has no honor or class and deserves no such treatment and when he falls, and it will be soon it will be because of that.
