I've come to the conclusion I've lost touch with the lesser known MC arena...

I'm tired of hearing about Kid Cudi, Drake, Charles Hamilition or other shitty new comers like them...

I need some music that really makes me passionate about the artform like it used too back in the day...

It seems all the artists that I can even consider underground that I listen too is on one of four labels; Anticon, Rhymesayers, Strange Famous Records or Def Jux. Outside of these labels I feel lost in the underground world of hip hop...

I recently found an artist named Invincible, a female emcee, prior to a week ago I had never heard of before... but she (yes, a she!, that's rare for me) blew me away musically... brought back that passion that made me want to even start writing again...

Here's a link to the song of hers if you are interested; (Maybe it'll help you help me find what kind of hip hop I'm looking for)

Once I heard it, it was refreshing & gave me a great hope that there is more hip hop out there that I would love if I could only find it...

I don't care if you consider it nerd rap, hippity hop, or alternative hip hop, just help me... throw me some MC names, I promise to check every single one no matter how long the list is... I need music that inspires me again, I need to feel the artform is still alive & not left to what we have left from the earlier underground scene that is still doing it.

Damn she fucking sounds like a black girl lol

Only girl artist I've encounter was

Lady of Rage (probably the most common one people hear)
Silk
Storm
and that 1 girl off of Regulate...G-Funk Era.

and thats about it lol, I mean theirs Michelle, but she's not rapping, she's just providing back up vocals 4 dre and snoop.

Invincible is dope! I hadn't heard that track, but really like it. Props for posting it.

I'd recommend Common Market, out of Seattle. Try the 'Tobacco Road' album (), or, if you're looking for something that soiudns a little mroe out of the ordinary, the 'Winters End EP' ()

Well - only on the Internet but what's the difference?"
