For some reason, I could never stand Bruce Springsteen.  I have no idea why, it's not political... I haven't liked this guy since I was a kid.  He gives me bad vibes for somereason.  I dont' like any of his music, and I don't particularly like even looking at him, or seeing his name.  Kind of strange.  I will definately not be checking this out.

Well this is no secret, but out of curiosity, what albums exactly have you heard by him?

Who is Bruce Springsteen?  Is he a West Coast or East Coast cat?

He's from the streets of Philadelphia

he's NOT from Philadelphia, he's from Newark, New Jersey...about an hour from Philly

I was just referring to one of his biggest songs ;)

i see...

I've never seen a major artist release their album exclusively as a dual disc before. (Someone correct if I'm wrong). One side of the disc will be the normal CD with all 12 tracks, and a rumoured 13th bonus track that suposivelty will give the album a . The other side of the disc will be a DVD with the entire album in 5.1 surround sound, and a DVD video of the making of some songs.

I've recently heard that the bonus track may be more of a comedic track with a sociological backdrop and a lot of swearing. It's up to Bruce I guess because Sony never had any input on what he releases. What ever he hands in gets put out as is. Even 1982's Nebraska which was handed in as a demo, and Bruce said it was going to be released as such, which it was.

If anyone wants to hear the first single you can check it out here;

It starts out with a strong folk/country flavour, so if you dont like Nebraska or Ghost of Tom Joad you probably won't like this. It slowly builds in instrumentation throughout the song but still remains a folk song for the most part.

Personally, I like it. At first I didn't, but when I listened through my ear phones instead of my computer speaers, it sounded a lot better.
