Jerry Jones locked out of locker room after game
« on: November 06, 2012, 03:48:01 AM »
Need a laff  :D check this out & the comments.  Which I agree with.  I don't like dallas but I hate what Jerry Springer Jones has done to that franchise.  Ran off Jimmy Johnson & ran the team into the ground, wants to call all the shots & be mr. do everything.  Which he cant.  I seen this episode b4, with Al Davis & Mike Brown.  Being both an owner & GM does NOT work.  These 3 stooges have made the franchises they own laughingstocks in sports.  Something that needed to be done long ago.  Even lock Jerry out of the nfl draft room.  Why can't he understand that the elite coaches don't wanna be there?  Get a gm, take your head outta your butt, stop meddling & enjoy the success.  I read that the rooneys began meddling & that's 1 of the reasons the steelers were a joke from 1933-71.  They stopped meddling & let Chuck Knox do his thing in the late 60's & knox retired in 1991.  2 head coaches since.  Message.  Some of the worst franchises be changing coaches like they change underwear.

Im a huge cowboys fan, grew up in the 90s heyday.  I completely agree with u.

We need a GM, buuuut......" Never gonna happen" - paraphrased quote from jerry himself.

Sucks.

In the short term we need a coach.  Garretts not the answer.

Jerry Jones wanted to be like Al Davis, but he forgot that in the 70's and 80's, during the Raiders' heyday Ron Wolf was the GM.

Jerry wants to do it his way and his way only.

Similar personality to Al i guess, but its all about him.

Him firing Garrett at this juncture would involve him admitting hes wrong about him, and that aint happening anytime soon.

So it's basically a wait until Jerry croaks situation like it was in Oakland with Davis?

I mean, I kinda feel that way.

I respect the man immensely for what positives hes done for the Cowboys.  But hes not perfect, and he shouldnt have promoted Garrett imo.  Him firing Garrett would be an implicit admission of this and idk if hes ready to do it.  Im holding out hope at this point that he'll see it, at least after the season is done and we're sitting at home not in the playoffs.

Is he the worst GM ever?  Not hardly.  We did sign some good FAs and Bruce Carter and Sean Lee are turning out to be studs at LB (both draft picks by Jerry).  Rob Ryan was a good hire too, the D is much improved.

Well, I'm almost positive he'a going to throw the boat at Sean Payton when it comes to cash. It all depends on whether Payton wants to stay in New Orleans or not. Had he promoted Payton in the first place and kept Wade at DC the Cowboys have gotten a ring or two by now.

He's so darn selfish.   That's 1 of the reasons why there's lots of failed businesses out there.  Cause someone's stubborn & selfish.  Wanting everybody to perish as fools.  He'd rather the cowboys suck & underachieve calling all the shots than to take his head outta his butt, sign the checks stop meddling & let the gm & everyone do their thing  :grumpy: You don't succeed that way.  Because he said he'll never hire a gm he should get locked out the locker room all the time.  He even drove a few fans on the internet to stop liking the cowboys cause they had it with his incompetence.  And i've been around people who wore dallas gear in the late 80's when they went 4-28.  And so-cals mainly cheer for the world champions only.

Yep & same thing with Bill Wirtz with the Blackhawks also.  And Mike Brown with the Bengals.  Spanos Goofs with the Chargers.  And that's a darn shame with stubborn ass people 2day.  I feel that's why some teams fans want crappy stubborn owners 2 die cause that's the only way the team will get better.  Its not right but not everybody wants 2 jump on a teams bandwagon to enjoy a sport.  Or suffer cause the crap owner refusing to sell the team.  1 of the reasons I stopped watching the nba cause i'm not gonna torture myself with Sterling.  He refuses to stop meddling, move the team to anaheim or sell the team.  Not tryna wait for him to die either.  Rather find some positive things to do or watch.  Heard that he's done worse things than Steinbrenner but George actually got banned for life once.

And I saw this on yahoo a few days ago.  Where cowboy fans are begging obama to oust Jerry Jones as the owner.  I thought texas natives wanted 2 seceed from america because he got re-elected  ???  Can't say I blame them for wanting jerry out.  Not saying obama is responsible for all but under his watch, bin laden is dead.  The iraq war stopped.  And there is finally a college playoff.  Something he wanted accomplished.  Yes every smart sports fan knows that there is finally a playoff because lots of people chose 2 boycott that SEC national championship last year.  Boycott, do & watch something else & make a difference  ;)  Payback can cost nothing  ;D
