You'd be surprised.  Everytime I post about Brian Wilson, or Fiona Apple, or Lynyrd Skynyrd, or whoever I feel like talking about at the time, I get tons of private messages about it.  I think people don't like replying to the topic, because if they publicly associate with me they think they'll be labeled with my political views... but that's o.k., I don't mind people being private. 

Besides, Fiona Apple is great!  She writes plays sings records her own songs.  How great is that?

I thought you preffered artists that collect various songs from pro song writers and make a great album once a year. Wasn't that your logic behind why George Strait is great and why so many others aren't? By the logic you're using to celebrate Fiona's talent, you should be a bigger Springtseen fan than me. Your logic doesn't make much sense.  I applaud somebody for writing playing and singing her own songs, and they're good.  George Strait sings and records songs, that are good.  Both can be celebrated and appreciated.  By appreciating George Strait's ability to pick a hit song, you're paying a compliment to the songwriters he has worked with; since Fiona is a songwriter herself, I'm doing the exact same fucking thing.

oh, and the reason I'm not a springsteen fan is because he just fucking SUCKS.  He writes songs, but he doesn't write good songs, he writes shit.  There's nothing about him that speaks anything at all to me except "change the channel"
